Title: Hello, I am Celine
Post by: Celine on September 13, 2018, 07:39:33 PM
Hello everyone, my name's Celine. I'm MtF, old, known myself since very early childhood (but never able to act on it) and wanting/needing to finally become something of my true nature before it's too late. I'm retired in Maine (5yrs) and spent much of my career in Texas (35yrs) as an electronics design engineer.

I've been in the background here for a while and am grateful for the existance of this place. It has allowed me to see that maybe it is possible even at this late date to throw off the disphoria and enjoy some of life.

I'm looking forward to participating in some of the activities here and getting to know some of you out there.

Thanks for being here!

Celine

Hey Celine :)

Looks like you've already started some conversations :)
Yup :) Here we have a lot of people showing that it's never late to start live for yourself and be yourself :)
Thank you for being here!

Hi Celine 🙋‍♀️ I'm Jessica!  Thank you for taking Kathy's tip and posted an introduction.
You may find that as you transition you start to feel younger, at least I did.
Remember 60 is the new 40.  And life is just beginning again!

Hugs and smiles from a California girl

Welcome to the site Celine.  I had the same reservations as you when I finally was ready to transition at the age of 57.  But, as I read right here on Susan's one day when I was considering going for it, "It's never to late to be the real you."

Truer words were never written.   It's your time now.

Celine... I am 67 next month and I can tell you if I had not transitioned two years ago I may have never made it this long. I have all kinds of health problems. Surprisingly for becoming transgender in utero when doctors ordered massive doses of female hormones to prevent miscarriage. This is known as DES poisoning. I developed male genitals with some defects but because of the time the female hormones were administered my brain developed under the influence and I grew up realizing very early that something was not right. I tried to be manly but I could never really be. I have been married twice. Divorced once and have two beautiful kids. My wife whom I told before we were married thirty five years ago that I crossdressed and she never brought it up. So I have been doing it our whole marriage. I finally told her I was transitioning due to a conversation I had with Dena and advice from HughE. The DES expert.  I haven't regretted it for a minute. I have met some really wonderful people I would never have known otherwise and I am finally coming out of my shell. Coming out of the closet made the weight of the world on my shoulders disappear. I did lose my best friend apparently but I have gained much more than I lost.  Welcome hope we can fulfill your expectations.
