Well I live in lovely San Diego CA. And I have Kaiser for insurance. I'm getting closer to getting approved . I have my 2nd consult with a psych next Monday. I meet all the requirements minus needeing to do laser in the southern region lol. I wanna know is there anything I should prepare for before hand . Like I know I'm hnna be off work so Ive been saving up for that. But is there anything you ladies experienced that you wished u knew about before hand . And has any other lady had their procedure done through Kaiser .I know they have in house surgeons but I haven't seen much in it . Any info would be greatly appreciated thank ♥️

Hi Qwueencj!
I'm roughly at the same point you are for GRS. I don't really have any help for you as yet. I will let the other ladies from the forum chime in. There is most certainly many here that will help you.
If I may? I would like to ask if you had to wait for 1 year in RLE before you get approval for GRS laser prep?
Donica.

My surgeon required electrolysis not laser. If you have a surgeon selected, I suggest you ask if they have a preference.
Electrolysis, for me, in Chicago is costing:
Blocker injections so I feel nothing: $300-500/session.
Electrolysis is $130/hour for 4 hours: $520
Usually you need 6 sessions but I only have calendar time for only 4.
Fingers crossed. Surgery scheduled for mid December.

Yes, I would of thought that too as electrolysis is more permanent. Congratulations on your mid December GRS appointment Denise.
Hugs,
Donica.

I'd try to find out more about the surgeons they have available. I know some women wish they had.
