Okay this is a bit of a frivolous post however that's good at times!

Out of interest, do you consider breasts or buttocks to be more significant to your idea of beauty in either yourself or women in general.   

I lean towards buttocks as feel a small waist and big round buttocks creates a beautiful strong shape.
Hence the hours I put in on hip thrusts and glute kickbacks and that I would prioritise cosmetic surgery to the waist / butt over breasts.

Thoughts? What do you Ladies think?

I tend to think more about my overall body shape, so I would guess about half and half.

I would like a bit more bum, but I find the recent trend of having a supersize KardASSian to be less than attractive.  :laugh:

For me it's a bit of both but the fun part of human sexual dimorphism is that there's a lot of overlap.  Some are built for comfort, some for speed, some have big butts, some small, big boobies, small boobies, and combinations of both. 

For me I like the look of a shapely bum and full breasts but there's definitely a limit to both and it depends on one's frame.  Gigantic butts and ridiculously oversized boobs are just gross.

My idea of beauty in other women is focused on the face, especially the eyes.  Windows to the soul, and all that.  I like women with kind eyes.

After that, the overall shape means more to me than any one part.

For myself, I wish I had more in the boob department.  I always had a cute bum, even as a guy, and HRT hasn't done it any harm.  And I am happy with what HRT has done for my eyes.

I find both prominent breasts and buttocks repulsive on women.
My female alter feels she is very cute with her 34B breasts and a buttocks that fits snugly in size 4 slacks

That being said, I'm with Kathy on this. I am bisexual, and what draws me to a person, physically, is their eyes. And, weirdly, the shape of their mouth. I have NO idea why. I have a thing for mouths. Body shape doesn't matter at all to me. Gender doesn't either, but that's outside the scope of this thread. In terms of women... yeah, I focus on the face. I guess because it's the most expressive part of a person. Or something. ;D

I say both. A balanced figure tends to be more attractive (to me) so I work on getting as close to that as I can. That being said I wouldn't actually get surgery for any of it. Just exercise, weight cycling, and accepting my body as it is.. and I'm pretty happy with it.

Hi Virginia, I don't feel it's a poll type of thing... More about peoples views.

Its interesting to hear what people think and how curves are viewed. I myself have a relatively large booty however would like more.as I still carry more upper body size than I would like so need to balance out.. ... I am partial to a Kardasian or 2 in terms of what I feel looks nice and Nikki Minaj.

Well, I have not yet taken physically transitioning steps myself but my mental image is smaller boond and a mid sized butt, my partner tells me my butt is already glorious :), but they might be biased.

I dont like big boobs, people I've talked to about this in the past have pointed out that some studies show a preference for big boobs is linked to higher mysogeney and a leaning towards stereotypical gender roles. I tend to prefer the itty bitty titty commttie myself, which, if I ever go on HRT, I'm hoping to be on the small side.

So with that said: baby got back!

I hope that didn't offend anyone, it was meant in a mostly hu.orous way, all bodies are awesome!

Both are desirable. This is not a one or the other sort of thing.  :'(

booty can be built from squats, deadlifts, jumping etc...

there is comparatively little that can be done for the boobs, so if i had to pick one I'd go with a noticeable cup size and work on my cheeks at the gym.

Eyes. Mouth. Eyebrows. Nose, chin, ears...so many other things that feel more important to me. I don't care if I get large breasts, because people generally tend to view women with smaller breasts as more competent and intelligent than women with large ones. So I'd say butt for me.

I love big butts and I cannot lie. From my head to my toes, I try to expose what makes me feel feminine inside.

I would go with... Boobs. Because they're infront and you can actually notice people checking 'em out. Butt, not so much. I always had a butt though so I take it front granted

Bum! - small boobs are absolutely fine, but a bigger bum helps to create an hourglass shape.

I go for personality... I know, I know... cliche. But it is true... that's why I would consider myself bisexual because I don't care about the physical. There are three things that attract me, 1) kindness, 2) charisma, 3) intelligence... and I like bubbly people too but that's not a big thing. I can appreciate beauty but it does nothing for me. Although I do like someone who has squirrel like teeth. It just soooooo cute!

In terms of myself... other than the obvious down below... if I had to choose one thing, if I could have my hair back I would choose that but if that's not possible then I would pay to feminise my face. I think face is more important than boobs or butt. Although a big bust might mean nobody is looking at your face when they talk to you anyway.  ::)

This is too close to call for me.

I desire at least noticeable sized boobs say B Cup but I also want noticeable cleavage and hence BA may be necessary.

Shapely rather than large butt and shapeliness in terms of hour glass figure as a whole also for me.

These 2 aspects affirm femininity but as others have said the face is extremely important and the main aspect for me is to correct my hooded eyes.

Hello Pamela, its Interesting to hear your view and that of everyone else. I guess we can all see that face is a major factor in a female appearance and as such facial work is the first and maybe only surgical procedure I have planned. I will see how I feel after in regards to dysphoria.

I hope in time you get the work done that you feel you need, there are some very good surgeons in the UK.

All my adult life I was face and breast oriented.  First face, followed by breasts,  Not big boobs, but nice and medium sized.  I don't like big hanging boobs, the shape of a breast is more important for me than the size.
and now I am all excited that i am growing my own ones.  I hope they will end up meeting my imagination of a nice looking breast.
Butts are very important, because one needs a body part to attach the legs to.  That is all a butt is for me, an attachment point for legs!

My butt is beautiful the way it is, nice and round. If my boobs would be big enough to match my butt, that would be glorious. I don't exactly have the correct boobs to butt ratio for some outfits, and I dislike the idea of trying to pay my boobs beyond what a good bra can do.

Oh boobs definitely. But I don't like overy big ones, nor those that droop down to navel level. C cup is about as big as I like, and perky ones are the best.

Some of both would be nice .. hips too

I just want whatever I can.

For me at this point being so early in transition, I would say boobs.  I have somewhat of a butt and hoping once I start HRT some from my waist will also distribute there.  However, I have heard mixed results from those who transition older (I'm 44) about fat redistribution.  I would love to have boobs!  However, a big booty is awesome too.  I would have to say if a little went up and a little went down, I would be ok with that.  As others have said though, women are all individuals and bring all kinds of diversity in terms of body shape.  I am always cautious when people talk of "ideal" because inevitably people always fall short of that and seem to always be chasing the perfect bod.  Being new, however, I am enjoying looking at my body more consciously and want to do what I can to look as feminine as possible.  This is a funny thread but thanks for starting, we need something light sometimes too.

She, or me, should be much more than that.  I would not want to optimize either of these nice body areas, yet at the same time have serious deficiences in the various aspects of living.  This does not mean that I would not want to have these nice body areas, and have them modestly showed off and noticed.  I do! 

We have what we have.  Some things are under our control, some things are not.

The entire woman is appreciated.  She is graceful, kind, thoughtful, empathetic, a great conversationalist, fun, smart, witty, pretty, responsible, smells great, has sexy hair with movement, smiles, is proportionally attractive, and has the sweetest voice.  Plus, she could put up with me and love me forever, with me also embracing and grateful for our wonderful lifelong relationship.  I want to always model what I desire.  Might never be possible, but I can make forward progress.

I don't think that I ever thought about it before. I wanted to be passable more than I wanted to breathe but I never had anything particular that I was hoping for. My butt and hips have always been noticeably large for a guy and I wasn't too worried about breasts, if I didn't get any at all I would have gotten ba. All of that turned out fine if not perfectly what I think they should be. My hips are just a little square(curvy but more like a lego in marshmallow instead of a gum ball in marshmallow), and my breasts are a little too far apart and not full enough on the bottom. With clothes on it's all good and at my age men tend to not pay attention to the small imperfections anyway. I am happy and grateful for how my transition went, not perfect but far beyond my expectations.

Boobs or booty? Yes please and hair, I wanted beautiful hair. It's all done for me, I got what I got, and it is hard to look back but between the two, booty. I have always thought that men found it easier to objectify a woman with large breasts. Besides I have always wanted to hear a guy say, I hate to see you leaving but I love to watch you go.

Thank you Billie! I agree its good to have something light from time to time, as face it alot of what we deal with is trying and tough. A little smile and a bit of sparkle is fun too!
I have so many things I could come on here and complain about, and tell you how hard it is for a Cis-Trans marriage to work however I Dont know if that helps me as much as a little light chat with people like me, about things I value alot

I wish you well for your Transition. From what I hear the effects of HRT vary alot from person to person so you may or may not see a big difference in curves. Hopefully its the later, and you get some nice curves off it over time. Either way, its something that many Trans women find makes their life much better, is HRT.

Agree there isn't really a ideal per se. And we should all be wary of trying to chase one. To some degree you work with what you got and try to improve but be realistic...

It is a sign of the times, that more than one look is in. Its not the 90s anymore , where the slim look reigned supreme. Now theres a while variety of cover model Cis women all are beautiful but not all are a 34-24-34 or anywhere near that. The wonderful Ashley Graham for example. or the Icon that is Kim Khardasian West.

Given that I already have decent sized moobs and my mom's breasts were very large (before she had a reduction), I'm not worried about the boobs.

But I do need butt. Actually, what I need is my butt to stay the same as I lose pounds. I'm right now 37" waist, 42" hips. If I get down to W32/H40, that's a win.

I am not concerned about my boobs either.  I am not on estrogen yet, and have already a size between A and B.
However, I was always proud of my lean and muscular reared, and now I have to pay for this.  I just bought a pair of leggings to see how I would fit into them (waist 35" and hips 43").  The legs and waist fits nicely, but the butt siede is so empty that the excess fabric could be converted into extra shorts!  I probably can get the waist down to 34/33, but my hips are already bony the way they are now, and I might get get 1/2" off of them.  But the big question is, how do I fill the rear side of those pants? I need the length of the legs, I just need more fat in the rear.  If I loose weight, I will loose even more back there!

I wrote a seperate post on this very problem and the solution I have found that works (in general) is to buy pants based on the hip size. For me, if I buy pants based on waist measurements, I'm a 14-16. But in reality, I'm actually a size 10 or 12. Those sizes fit great.

I read somewhere that men are attracted to breasts and butts because the butt cheeks can appear to some men to be like two more boobs on some women!  :)

You mean like one set of boobs coming, and one leaving?  In that case I might need to walk backwards when I am leaving  to be able to always show decent boobs!

Boobs, for sure. My nipples and chest area have always been extremely sensitive and an easily stimulated erogenous area of my body. I suspect that if/when I start HRT treatment for transitioning, I would get implants sometime after as well. It's part of how I see myself as female,and part of what I think feels (and is) wrong with me now.

Unless she's clumsy, brusque, inconsiderate, self-centred, a woman of few words, dour, dull witted, has no sense of humour, is unattractive, irresponsible, with B.O., greasy hair, always wears a frown, is obese, and croaks like a frog. In which case, she's still a woman, and still appreciated.  :)

There are lots of stores that sell tall pants for women, especially online. Certainly if you have a 32" inseam, you'll be fine.

Believe it or not, despite the fact that I am 5'11", I have to buy SHORT inseam women's pants. I have incredibly short legs for someone my size basically because I have a somewhat long torso and a very long butt. I just bought a pair of trousers in 10 Short, and they fit perfectly. Buying men's pants I always had to get my pants altered. Now usually I can find petite or short pants that fit. And because of my long butt, I really only buy high-rise pants and they look mid-rise on me.

BTW, it is so weird that I, a 5'11" AMAB, have to buy petite women's pants.

Second:  Your description about "The entire woman is appreciated" is wonderful and well said.   All of us may fall short of achieveing everything stated but we all should strive for those positive attributes.
We may never be perfect in the boobs, butt, or hour glass figure departments but if we can keep those things in proper proportion to our body, that is what we should do....   I don't need an overly big and gross butt like Kim Kardashian, nor do I need Dolly Parton big boobs...  I am just happy to have what I have and of course, if it is in my control I can endeavor to make improvements that I may desire to make.

I have found that USA women's sizes, for regular or medium, to have a 30-32 inch inseam or pant leg length (from cuff to where the legs meet at the crotch seam at the front), short 26-28, and tall, 33 or so.  Be aware that petite and short sizes are not the same.  Petite is a proportional cut, while short is just that, it has a shorter inseam, or leg length.

Now "rise" is another matter, and it can make a big difference in comfort.  Also there are sizing differences, mostly proportions, for missses and junior sizes.  Plus sizes are likely just bigger sizes than women's sizes.  But all of these catagories have short, regular or medium, long or tall, and petitie.  Rise is very important to notice when buying shorts or skorts.  You may also see both a front rise and a back rise noted.

I suggest you visit online sites and read up about sizing, but others here will also post to help you.  We help each other a lot here!

Be aware that clothing sizing varies a lot, even within a brand name.  You need to try them on.
Vanity sizing goes on when maybe something is really a size 14 but is labeled a lower size, say a 12.  Some ladies like to think they are wearing smaller size clothing than what they need to have for a comfortable fit, hence the term "vanity sizing."

Skirts have specified lengths too.  I just can't wait to wear this adorable high rise A-line skirt, it is 18 or 20 inches, but it would look better on me if I had a better waist to hip ratio.  A-line skirts can flatter the figure, and the more hourglass you are, well... wow!  Maybe someday for me but maybe never.
