Title: Passing while pregnant.
Post by: Taren on January 02, 2008, 08:14:39 PM
So yeah, I'm pregnant, mostly unplanned.  At the moment, I pass pretty well, although people tend to assume that I'm about 13, (I'm 5'2" with no muscles and a really high voice), because I have small breasts and virtually no curves.  However, now that I'm pregnant, my sources inform me that my hips will get wider, my breasts will get bigger, and my voice might become temporarilly higher.  All that not to mention having increasingly hard to explain expansion.
So, anyone have any insight on passing while pregnant?

Are you going to keep it?

Yeah that's a good question Renate,
Wouldn't HRT and testosterone completely screw the kid up?
A womans body goes through so much hormonal changes durring pregnancy, I'd think FTM HRT would be out of the question. That much testosterone can't be good for a developing child.

I'm assuming Taren isn't on hormones...

After four months or so you're gonna look pregnant.  Yep the boobs are gonna grow and all that happy stuff.  Even if you tried to wear baggy clothing to cover it up that unmistakable bump will be obvious.

You might just have to suck it up for the remainder of the pregnancy.

Yes I'm going to keep it.  No, I'm not taking hormones, or medications, I don't even use caffeine.

yep.  there aint to much u can do after 3 or 4 months.  I know a girl in d.c. (she aint a ftm) who was 8 months pregnant & her family didnt know bout it.  she was kinda on the heavy side though. wore lose sweatshirts so she could hide it. her mom found out justone month b4 she had the baby & was hella surprised

No, I mean, we're friends...but...we weren't together when it happened, his girlfriend just broke up with him a few days ago, and he says that while he loves me in a nonromantic way he doesn't want to be 'with' me.  In addition he doesn't feel that he's mature enough to be a parent.  So now I'm looking for a co-parent...someone who's open minded enough to handle a pagan ftm who's pregnant by someone else, and who, within reason, shares my ideas about how to raise a kid.

It will be hard Taren to raise a child. Im guessing that you like men. The pregnancy will show after 4 months depending on your stature now... as everyone else has said. I wish you all the luck in the world!

Well, this is...anticlimactic...early miscarriage.  Guss the universe didn't intend for me to become a parent just at present.  Probably for the best, college and whatnot... :'(

Hi Taren
I am so sorry to hear about the miscarriage. Were you planning on having a baby before you start transitioning?
