I came out today to my aunt. During my first therapy session earlier this week, my therapist and I agreed that it would be best for me to come out to someone this week. I knew my aunt would be relatively easy because my she is very progressive.

And....it was easy and totally undramatic, just like I thought it would be :). She was very sympathetic with my situation.

So a pretty good week one of transition in the books...first therapy session, first clothes bought, first coming out. Not bad, right?

And I've got the plan for week 2: make appointment for laser and come out to a long-time friend. Off we go!

This is terrific news.... your therapist is right on for encouraging you to come out to someone for your first time.
Kudos to you for being brave and taking this big step.... 
...it can get easier each time you do it, and as @Devlyn stated in her comment to you,  "you'll soon find momentum on your side."

Each time you successfully come out to someone, it will increase your confidence and self-assurance, that's not to say however that there will be disappointments along the way with those that will not accept you and your transition decision.
   
Stay the course, stay strong and determined.
I will be eagerly looking for your future progress reports around the forums.

That first time is the hardest, and you did it!  Congratulations!  It sounds like you have a good plan.

And it does get easier with time.  After awhile I found I no longer dreaded coming out to additional people... I really started looking forward to it. 

It's so good to hear that your first week/first test had positive results.

I also came out to one of my aunts first, who I perceived to be the easiest target. It went well. Then she blabbed to her sister (other aunt)...and then I when I came out in person to her it also went well.

I'm happy your first coming out was a pleasant experience!

It's always great when the person you come out to is supportive and helpful.

I've come out to a few people now, and even though it still racks my nerves to get to the discussion, it doesn't take me years to actually bring it up anymore (My first come out was to my sister, and I waited almost three years to rack up the nerves to tell her). It definitely gets easier the more support you have underneath you, because since I came out to my sister in January, I have told almost a dozen people between then and now (almost one a month!). So once you know you have support, you can press on and get to where you need to be!
