Title: Hrt sex drive (nsfw?)
Post by: Frostey on October 14, 2018, 01:07:25 AM
So I've always been under the impression that myf hrt would cuase a decrease in libido and difficulty with erections and sensations and stuff.

And I know YMMV

But did anyone else notice an increase in libido.

Its been almost a month since I started hrt, and I've noticed  I've stopped getting spontaneous erections. But I've been having a much stronger sex drive or desire for contact and touch like I want to feel touch and intimacy on my whole being. And its easier for me to maintain my erection (I had some intermittent dysfunction before hrt) . My sensation feels deeper and smoother like I feel it through me and stuff just feels smoother and softer.

Orgasms have also started to change after only a week but the effects are getting stronger were when I orgasm I actually seem to have a larger volume of ejeculete and the feeling is stronger, and more physical almost guttural like through my abdomen and thighs and I get shaky and feel waves of emotion to.

I'm not sure if this is my body starting to experience more feminine feelings and sensations or if my body's upping the testosterone to counter the estradiol or if it might be psychological because of hormone effects on my mood and psychology.

So any feedback or information from those with more knowledge or experience would be great.

I go to see my doctor in a few weeks to so I'll also talk to them.

Thanks.

Your experiences do seem to be unusual as most of us feel a decrease in libido when starting Estrogens. This may just be temporary physical change or it may it may be a big psychological boost in your sense of self. Either way, most of us just enjoy the ride. We are finally getting to where we need to be.

I have the same thing, I was told it's not uncommon. But then again, I didn't start HRT to escape sex drive.

Autumn girl

Did the effects last and stay persistent or were there any fluctuations.

Sorry if that's to personal.

---

I know things are different for everyone and I'm enjoying the journey. But while no one can say what will happen or what's normal per se  I'm just trying to get a road map i guess.  I'd compare it to puberty were your like omg I'm freak my body is mutating  am I the only one who has these wierd things.  But I feel like now I can ask people who have gone through it.

Also I'm scared to lose my sex drive. It's why I chose finistrad instead of spiro as a Anti androgen.

One thing I struggle with as a transwomen is that I dont know if I want bottom surgery. Like I wouldn't say I'm comfortable or thrilled to have the parts I do. And I wish I had other parts. But I dont feel alot of disgust or hatred towards my genitals. I kinda describe it as, I've gotten use to them. I've been trying to adjust to thinking of things as just abnormal or large femn poarts  and I don't know if the discomfort or akwardness warrents the risk
s for bottom surgery.

That's why I'm curious if anyone else has this a typical response like me and autumn and if its something that tends to last or improves over time.

On a side note, when it comes to bottom surgery,  does anyone know if its possible to keep the (and be able to use the) twig, lose the berries , and a garden  so to speak

I'm about three weeks in and mine has increased. Mine has been in overdrive my entire life and I would definitely appreciate a decrease.

Mine dipped for a while, then returned with some interesting changes. Similar to Frostey, more receptive to touch, cuddling, skin contact, and more full-bodied, seems the best way to describe it. More vocal as well.

I second this, and the qnat hasn't gone away for me--for me it went away at about 5-6 months, came back at 8ish.

At the 3 month point of HRT.... I had difficulty with erections and when I did achieve them with great effort there was not much firmness, etc.   At 6 months, no more morning wood, and no more erections and it remained that way

But that is exactly what I was going for...  females do not have erections.

I'm approaching 2 months now, still hoping libido will decrease so that I know the Spiro is working. So far no changes whatsoever.

I plan to start HRT shortly, but I've been on dutasteride for coming up on 2 years.  That certainly reduced it for me.  I expect that it will settle down for you too.

I'm 18 months on HRT and can still get an erection and occasionally some morning wood. Everyone is different,  and this has NOTHING to do with being female or not.

I started with Finasteride for mild BPH, then added Estradiol once I saw my HRT doctor. Morning erections stopped after a few months and I felt much better mentally and emotionally, buy my testosterone was still fairly high. A few months of Spironolactone dropped my T down so far they can't measure it anymore, and I am much happier now. Erections are still possible, but I have to be exceptionally aroused and even then they are not what they used to be. Initially I thought this would be a difficult adjustment, but I don't miss it at all.

I went through periods when I was not sure about bottom surgery. Like you, those parts never really bothered me. About six months after going full time I realized that for me surgery is the right decision. I love being a woman. Although the world sees me as a woman, I have a constant reminder that tells me otherwise -- it needs to go. My wife is not really happy about that, but she understands.

I'm 4 months on and I haven't had an erection since month 2. I can achieve one if I work hard at it but why would I? XD

I am kind of asexual at this point. Though the smell of morning muffins at work nearly brought me to ecstasy one day.

Yes I noticed it gave me more libido. Female's clits get hard so why shouldn't mine. I would enjoy being a woman more if my body actually looked female. My mind expects my body to look a certain way and it doesn't. When I feel the most masculine I feel emotionless and devoid of sex drive. But there is different types of testosterone. Mild and DHT. I definitely don't want any DHT in me.

I struggle with that too. I also struggle with the time-consuming nature of my desire. If I didn't have to seek relief every day perhaps I could put that time to better use. It's easier, or perhaps harder, thinking about that issue knowing that I would never be able to pay for it.

I don't judge. People who judge about that sort of thing are not cool. Just relax and know I'm cool with whatever decision you make. The more Enlightened people get the better. In my eyes there's nothing wrong with being a girl with a penis. If people hate you for it those kind of people tend to be unenlightened and judgey and are just gonna bring you down.

It's all fine by me. In fact I want to take Finesteride too. Because I heard spiro damages your liver and bladder.
And like I posted earlier, Estrogen never hurt my sex drive, and in some ways it gave me a bigger sex drive than before.

Five weeks in and mine has decreased. I started to notice the decrease when my Spironolactone dose was at full strength.
