I got my ears pierced after I went on HRT as a gift to my self. Fastforward three months I brought my self my first earrings and they are beautiful simulated sapphire 10k/14k gold earrings. They were marked down at Kohl's on clearance.I need advice on wearing them and I still present as a male. They look girly on me my stepmom says and my dad says they look fine. The question is since they are blue does it have to match my outfit? ???(side note my eyes are blue) Should I have bought a diamond like stone since clear would match any outfit? This question is bothing me sooooo bad and I want to make sure I do not seem any weirder to my coworkers.(they don't know I am on HRT) Right now I only wore them once in a blue shirt and Khakis. I changed back into the 16 gauge stainless barbells that the piercing shop gave me.
Any thoughts or advice would help.
Thanks.

Clear stones are versatile, since they will go with anything.
Use coloured stones to pick out a colour in your outfit. If there is blue in your outfit, the blue stones will emphasize it. Coloured stones also work well with neutral colours: they will liven it up.
A girl needs several pairs of earrings so that she can wear them with different outfits.

I pierced mine for my birthday last year. No idea why I waited so long... my usual is a stainless ball stud for simplicity. But I have made ones from guitar strings for a bit of personality. I love the feeling of them dangling when I move.

If the blue matches your eyes, I'd say go for it any time. Alternately a simple gold or silver stud or ring is a safe casual option for day to day wear.
This reminds me, I want to go get my ears pierced!
