Hey there I'm looking for advice on picking out an stp or how to slow my flow. I pee very forcefully and they always seem to run over, even when I try to pee gently. I usually only use an STP when I go out to the bars and am therefore drinking and peeing often. Any help is appreciated!

Hi Gabecope! Welcome to Susan's Place! I'm Jessica.
I'm afraid I haven't any experience with your question, being I'm a transgender woman. But you are likely to receive an answer from members that do.
I see you're new here, so I'll post some links that may help you get better acquainted with the site. Pay attention to the site rules they can be of great help and don't forget the link highlighted red. It has answers to questions that are commonly asked. Then join in on a topic you find interesting and learn and share.
Please feel free to stop by the Introductions (https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/board,8.0.html) Forum to tell the members about yourself!

Hi Gabecope
I don't know the version you have but the typical design is like a funnel and one of the trick is to not have it completely over the vagina but rather that the rims barely touch around the vaginal area.
If it is touching or pushed up against the vagina then when you mange to let go of the pee it will likely back-flow or spill over the rims. This is because the rims will bend and the funnel won't direct the pee the right way.
On picking an STP is very individual, there are many reviews out there, on chats and youtube. I looked through them.
I have tried two, Transletics EZP and Peecock Gen 3 - 4.75". I prefer the peecock one it packs better and I don't need to adjust it or such when peeing.
I have found some men's jock pants that have a hole in the right spot for the penis. This means that when I STP I unzip pull it out and then pull it down away from the vagina and this makes it much safer to piss and the funnel to gather the piss and direct it down through the hollow penis.
They only cost $0.99 a pair which is a lot cheaper than the FTM harnesses. ;)
Shop around on men's sports wear and also gay wear. It could help.
BTW I'm old enough to be your dad so I have been conditioned a lot longer, it is more about confidence than conditioning.
Regarding controlling the flow, try Pilates, those exercises are all about training the core muscle that you use when controlling the flow.
