Susan's Place Transgender Resources

Greetings Everyone,

I am Liina from BC Canada. I am a transgendering MtF that has been on Susan's for quite along time but only reading and visiting. I planning to be here more now that life is slowing down and I can actually make time to do so.
I have been a life long gender wondering person since my youth and proceeded be more involved in the 90's but as life does do that, life got in the way of living and I had to shelve my desires and ambitions with my gender non conforming self. In the last 5-8 years I have further pursued my interest in Transgendering my self to what extent I am not sure yet. However I have been here on Susan's for a long time just reading and being appreciative of everyone who is here. The community is fabulous  and certainly I look forward to interacting with all of you here. Cheers everyone

Hello Lina, it's nice to meet you.  I hope you're happy in whatever path you decide on your journey.  I also was a visitor here for a while before deciding to become a member.  The people here are very knowledgeable and friendly.  It's been great.  I hope to hear more.  Thank you for sharing.

Thank you for following Jessica's suggestion and the LINKS that she provided for you to come here to the Introductions Forums to tell more members about yourself....  as a result you will surely be involved in more sharing... and give and take with other like-minded members.

Thanks for the warm welcome to Susan's. One of the best places to be involved with people from all over the world who have a common thread in life, where one can be understood and accepted for who they are. I give credit to Susan for hosting and making this site a go to for all of us who are transgendered and needing and looking for a community to belong to and be part of. It is exceptional! Not only it is exceptional it brings together exceptional people. Even if we can't  always participate as we would like to, knowing about Susan's and being able to access it is a resource all of us can so proud of.
Thank you again and I very happy to be here as I can be.
As a friend said some years ago relating to going into somewhere in life and not knowing anyone, "just think of all those people who do not know they may become your best friends"

Hi Liina, glad you are here and making your voice heard. My name is Moni. From my own experience, I don't see running from gender issues as a good solution. So many of us run from it for a long time. (Marathoner here) I'm happy things have slowed down and hope you are able to find a path that works for you. I am curious. How do you pronounce your name? Even if we are a little scary to you right now, you are allowed to have some scary friends, right? lol See you around the boards. ;D

My name, It would pronounced like Lena with an emphasis like Leena, coming from more of a Scandinavian twist.
Like anything if life, it can be as scary as you want it make it, sometimes its just a matter of knowing when to run! LOL!

Well Liina, as my old friend, @Laurie would say, stop running, step into Susan's Cafe, and pull up a chair or couch. For some reason people here are fond of cookies, popcorn, and, well, food in general. So make yourself at home, munch out and enjoy the conversation. We love newbies and those who peek through the window a while before entering. It's all good. ;D
