No, although that does sound thoughtful. Besides the ordinary items,
I will carry pepper spray for self defense.

I am of an age where that wouldn't be plausible. It is a good idea, though, for others.
And, who knows, perhaps in a year or so, I'll be recently post-op and need to carry pads, at least, in my purse for a while.
I carry billfold, change purse, phone, glasses, pen, lipstick, mirror, tissues, and a pocket knife.

I have a lot of things in my purse:
Pens
paper pad
pads, thin
sunglasses
lube packets
condoms (some day I hope)
keys
work ID
cbd
wallet and cell phone
mini professional license provided by the state
Post GCS I had pads for what seamed forever, then the revision I had pads too. I am so glad those days are over.
I do not have a weapon or spray in my purse.
I do have a serious issue though. I need a new purse and it has been driving me crazy. I have been looking around at thrift stores but I fell in love with one in a leather shop in New Hope. I may break down and but it in the new year. However, I will first go to a leather outlet outside of Reading to a place that has some beautiful leather goods.

I have a concealed carry permit, but it is in my dead name. I have registered to take a training class in a few weeks so I can get a new permit in my name. I already bought a new purse made for concealed carry -- it has a compartment specifically made for a small holster. My FNX-45 is way too large, but my Sig Sauer P938 fits perfectly. Of course you could just use the compartment for pepper spray if you prefer.
We do have to face reality. For those of us who are MTF, as women we are more likely to be a target now. In addition, some people could become violent if they realize we are transgender.

Are you sure they won't change the name on it? Changing my AZ CCW permit was super easy.
Anyhow looking in mine right now:
Wallet
Checkbook
Three ballpoint pens
Chewing gum
Altoids
Pad
Keys
Kahr CM9
Wrinkled Southwest boarding pass from September
Lotion
DayQuil pills

They may, but I would rather just do it from the start. My last training course was six years ago, and it did not include any range time. I signed up for a 'woman's only' course which includes an hour on the range. Although I have been comfortable with firearms for decades, maybe I will learn something this time!

Big purse!
I tend towards smaller bags. It will usually have business cards and one of my name tags I wear for events in one pocket, in another personal care stuff (lipstick, small brush, hand sanitizer, nose spray in allergy season, tissues packet), and my phone/wallet in another pocket. Keys and car fob go in there somewhere. I may also have a recharge kit (battery, tiny wall wart, cables) for the phone and assorted giveaway buttons and wristbands if I'm doing an LGBT event, or a foldup shopping bag for shopping outings.

Since we moved off-grid a year ago, I don't have a need for a purse anymore. When we do make a trip twice a month to town, I carry just a wallet.
Funny though, I remember the contents of my purse...more like a pharmacy/junk drawer. I recall:
Small bottle peptol bismal
Small bottle mouthwash
Floss sticks
Pair socks
Nail clippers and tweezers
Bandaids
Aleve
Approx 200 pens lol
Emory board

Tissues, keys, toothbrush and mini paste, money, hand cream, lip balm, mascara, more mascara lol

For a while there, I began to think the thread was what arms do you store in your purse. Something as a Canadian that I found hard to process reading. My bag will be noticeably lighter...
In my small bag:

I need to make my makeup kit smaller and remember to add emory boards.

I get the thing as you being a Canadian, your gentic stock is not from the Criminals and Outcasts of Europe, unlike here in the USA. The new world was a dumping ground of Malecontents and Criminals and in the USA we continue with that fine genetic pre programing, myself included, not a criminal but a bit of a Malecontent :)
