Title: Unisex/Androgynous ultimately MtF Hairstyle Advice

Hi all,
Just a little question -
I'm MtF, but with my hair length and pre-everything status, am moving towards androgyny in the meantime. I'm going to the hair place tomorrow.
What would be a good, more androgynous/unisex hairstyle as I start to grow my hair out? I'm looking for not dying my hair or anything un-conventional. Like unisex or androgynous, but much more normie/professional than what I'm getting off Google Images. Willing to use gel or something.
I'll take links or resources too. If it's relevant, my hair is currently about 3 inches long on the top, naturally really thick and a little wavy. Early 20s, light skin, dark eyes, darkish hair, very young looking face with some strong facial features if that adds anything. Also, should I get it thinned if I'm growing it out?
Thanks! :)

A good place to start would be Hair finder (https://www.hairfinder.com/). There is a huge collection of hair styles and the biggest problem is digging through all the pictures.

A pixie cut can look androgynous.
From there, let it grow out. Consider going to a pageboy or a bob, progressing from less feminine to more feminine as desired. There are many variants of these styles. See the Internet for many examples.
After it grows out, you can always keep it at a particular style or length all around your head and face if you are concerned it is looking too feminine and not unisex.
I have seen both men and women wear a Mohawk cut, but that may not be your preference.
It looks more manly or even warrior-like on either sex to me.

When I transitioned, I just stopped getting hair cuts and just used shampoo and conditioner on my hair. I just let my hair grow out. This is probably not the most fashionable thing to do, but it worked for me.

I did that, then got my first hairstyle. It's fun getting it styled ladies. :)

Oh my, thanks for all of your advice so fast!
After scouring through different sights, we kinda just saw that styling it nicely as it grows out was the best way to go. So that's what I'll do for now. Got it trimmed up with less neck stuff and to be a bit more even, and longer it shall be :).
Got it done, now just have to find this "Light Holding Gel" stuff :P

Quote from: ChrissyRyan on January 19, 2019, 12:51:27 PMI have to wait with any real styling, because I promised to a person very near to me that I would not steal the show at an event for this person in the middle of June and come as a woman. Nobody there has ever seen me as a woman, and i would take the attention away and onto me. I will try to do my hair in a male style of pony tail, and dress very androgynous, while trying to blend into the background.

Once that is behind me, I will get the hottest hair style I can imagine. I see some Latinos running around with some kind of dread locks, with different colors for each lock! i could see myself to do that, too!
The old hag with dread locks! ;D
