Title: Possible way to retain fertility ?
Post by: Yanagii on January 19, 2019, 06:15:36 PM
Hello , I'm always fascinated by the idea of HRT MTF and I would actually like to start next month

Although that I am fine with the reactions hormones would have on my body , I've been looking for a way to retain my fertility

One day on a trans Chinese website , I read about that taking hormones for 3 months and stopping for 1 month can actually keep one's testicular function.

Since I have not seen anybody discuss this , I would like to come to a larger platform with to ask about it.

Thank you for your time  :)

Welcome to Susan's Place. You need to discuss this with your doctor but I am not sure there is anyway you can guarantee that you will remain fertile. If this is important to you, the best suggestion is to have your sperm preserved for latter. Several of the member on this site have taken that approach and costs will vary depending on where you live.

I had been on hormones for years and my dr said if I came off of them long enough I should regain capability for viable sperm. I ended up being undermedicated so I didn't even have to stop hormones but I banked sperm for my future babies!
