I'm now 4 months post GRS. I'm very happy with the results of the surgery but have found over the last month that my appetite has really changed, I am eating much less than before. My weight and energy levels are still fine, so no health issues, but wondering if anybody else has found this has happened to them

I am a long ways away from surgery (I think), but I feel that HRT might have changed my taste buds to some extend.
I used to love drinking beer, specifically a good erman bee. I don't like beer anymore! I have two 6 packs of German beer in my fridge sitting, and being untouched for weeks now. Each time I open the fridge, and I look at the beer, I don't feel like drinking it! I just don't get that beer thirst anymore! I know, it is horrible, but I just don't like the stuff anymore. I drink way less alcohol than I used to drink, and if I feel like alcohol, I prefer a glass of wine. And I definitely eat way less meat, I don't have the taste for meat anymore either. If I want to ingest animal protein, I prefer fish!
I think I will slowly have to kiss goodby the remaining tough guy elements inside me!

I am six weeks post GRS and do not see any changes in my appetite. Because of that I have gained a bit of weight ,about 1 kilo, which I attribute to a lack of exercise. I used to hike a mile every day and do a 10K bicycle workout daily, but am still in recovery so I have not gone back to my routine yet.

I had a drop in my calorie intake needed to maintain my weight after about four months on the anti-androgen spironolactone, from somewhere around 1800 calories a day to around 1300-1400. Gender Confirmation Surgery (GCS) didn't seem to impact that much.

Can I stop spiro once I had my orchi? What did you do?

That's between you and your doctor, but my doctor had me stop taking Spiro at the time of surgery, and ran an E &T test three weeks after surgery.

Quote from: Devlyn on February 04, 2019, 03:57:39 PMI just had one, T is 74, and E is 63.8. The doc thought the T comes from my adrenal glands, and the testes don't do anything anymore!

I think that spiro makes me kind of lethargic, is that common thing?
