So my six month follow up is on Monday. So far it's been wonderful. I've added about 2 inches to my bust, curves have started to fill out, and I'm just feeling better mentally and emotionally.
Hilariously, I was chatting with one of my cis co-workers and she commented on how my figure was looking, saying she wished she was on hormones [emoji57]

@AoifeB
Thank you for sharing your 6 month report with all of us. It is always a nice thing to see and feel the mental changes, improvements and body changes that HRT can bring.
I remember last year when I was in the women's locker room/shower room at my gym with my gym gals group that as we were changing, one of the ladies made very complimentary comments about my figure .... certainly nice to hear as I was just about fully naked when she made the comment... very affirming for sure and wonderful to hear.
Again, thank you for your update... I will be eagerly looking for more of your postings.
Hugs and best wishes,
Danielle

It would be my last day in a venue in which I would not have the privacy to be alone if my body is not covered with clothing!

Dear Linde:
The showers are in private stalls for sure, but the changing area has benches in front of lockers (kinda like it was in high school) so when changing out of street clothes into workout clothes you can imagine that there will be times of tops being on or off... etc...
Most times there are not a lot of others nearby but I was with my gym-gals group (5 ladies) so we as a group would come and go at roughly the same time. The comment I got from one of the ladies was in good taste as we just happened to be fairly near each other when changing into our workout clothes.
Hugs,
Danielle

Quote from: Dietlind on March 01, 2019, 01:06:55 PMThat is kind of a bummer. I always enjoyed gym outside of weight lifting but even then light weights and high reps was acceptable so it isn't like people are forced to bulk up.

I was never comfortable changing around people. At least until basic training when I had no choice.

And I missed another chance to see locker rooms and male bonding while taking showers together!
I think I better start to get really sad about all those missed locker room and shower chances! >:-)

QuoteI never ever in my entire life have been together with other people in one room in a semi naked body condition.
That was quite common for me, be it gym class, public pools etc. Lately though, they've been getting individual stalls for the "shy" types. I think this is a disturbing trend, in that so many think there's something dirty about naked bodies. Well, as they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Just like you Aoife I hated changing in front of the other boys at school as I felt so ashamed of my body and embarrassed and uncomfortable.

@Aoife
I had mentioned the following about myself in some of my past posts last year.
When I was in Junior High and High School I was a skinny, short, small hands, runt, no bulk, no muscle mass.... and that became very evident in my last few years in High School as my male class mates were turning into "men" ..
I was short, small build barely 5'4" perhaps 5'5" with my hair fluffed up. I had fairly long slightly curly blonde hair, a soft "girlish" face with a voice to match.
It was an absolute terror for me in the boys locker rooms at my Physical Education classes... I was bullied, pushed around and joked about all the time... even bordered on being sexually assaulted.
Not only was a small girlish looking boy but to make matters worse my male parts never looked like the other guys. Even the girl classmates were insulting me and bullying me. This went on through my college years.
The good news was that all of this was in my favor when I decided to transition in my early 30's ...
...so as it turned out I was very fortunate in that regard.

I went through pretty much the same thing although I am a few inches taller but not any taller then the rest of the woman in my family.
The worst thing was changing into the gym clothes and the obligatory remarks about how I had larger breasts then some of the girls.
Middle school was bulking and fights which was more like getting jumped and not being able to talk my way out of it. High school was better because my Dad was transferred down to Georgia and I got to start over my sophomore year. I learned to keep my mouth shut and how to blend in but I didn't associate with anyone.
College was bad the first year because I had to bunk with three other guys and the dorm was very open. I spent most of my time out at parks or at the computer lab. The second year wasn't as bad but I still had no friends. It wasn't until my third year other people made friends with me. I say that because they made the effort to know me and they seemed ok so we hung out some and then the fourth year I graduated and moved up to Virginia where I again was alone for the most part outside of a second cousin and his family and a few people at work.
It was this way until 2010 when I started to transition and then I really started making friends.

Appointment went well. Had some blood draws done, no changes to my prescriptions, and I have a referral to a local surgeon who performs orchis.

I hope you can have it soon, and if you are like me, it is not really painful after surgery, it is more like some discomfort, a very low price to pay for not needing spiro anymore!

Maybe not the size I have now but I've always had them enough to be noticeable when changing clothes and I had almost no body hair. I also had large hips and narrow shoulders. Trust me changing in the boys locker room and the showers was the stuff of nightmares.
