I truly feel sorry for Diane Gramley, president of American Family Association of Pennsylvania, and her need to use fear to spread her lies (Erie Times-News letter, Jan. 2).

The reason Erie County amended its antidiscrimination ordinance was not to cause "homosexuals and cross-dress-ers" to ->-bleeped-<- to Erie for jobs. It was to keep the intelligent, articulate, educated and otherwise gay, lesbian and transgender residents of Erie from ->-bleeped-<- away from the fear, hatred, bigotry and ignorance that obviously still exist here. Please. "Changeable orientation?" Get a grip on reality, Diane."

Ack!!
