My brother is co-chair of Canadian Aviation Pride (CAP) and has asked me for input aimed at developing webinars for employers and employees in the aviation industry regarding treatment of trans and transitioning employees.
I will be sending him my own thoughts, but I retired before coming out, so I have no experience with being trans or transitioning in a workplace. So I would appreciate any suggestions or resources along those lines.
CAP is the main advocacy group for LGBT+ people in the Canadian aviation industry, and they have a lot of buy-in from the airlines.

• for HR: Trans hiring/onboarding, retention, supporting a transition, inclusion considerations. Maybe there will be some inspiration for conversations that happen at our conference next month.
• for all: working with Trans people. Diversity of Trans. Being supportive when a coworker is transitioning. Inclusive language/ pronouns. What if you make a mistake.
