Title: Does stress increase prolactin?
Post by: Asakawa on April 05, 2019, 07:25:44 AM
I had a very stressful week so I was not able to pump like I usually do. However I pumped a few minutes ago and I had the most fluid I have ever had. I am not sure if it is colostrum or if it is something more like milk. It looks almost yellow at first glance but under bright light it has a white tint. I wonder if the stress had anything to do with it. One thing I noticed is that when I have fluid release if I pump about an hour or two later I do not get much of anything. I wonder if I will be able to lactate even more. My nipples felt sore and when I began pumping they hurt. They actually hurt more than before and once the fluid started coming in I kept getting needle-like pain. Back before when the pain begins that is when the flow increases. It is uncomfortable but that is when it comes out. I find it that when the fluid begins to flow more there Is this sensation of needles on the nipples. I also wonder why the nipples felt sore. I wonder if this is related at all to feeling engorged. however the little fluid I release cannot really fill much of anything. The left breast makes more than the right breast.
