My Name is Sarah Thompson! I am 27 years old and ive been visiting these forums occasionally for advice but ive never posted before. My wife and I recently were disowned by my parents and lost everything when I told my siblings I am transsexual and intend on transitioning amd asked them for their support when i My parents. Sadly they went behind my back and told them and my parents first reaction was I am insane but after the broad spectrum testing and I recieved my written report from my clinical psychologist I am noy insane and i have autism which explains a lot of my difficulties but finding out I wasnt just making up a story to get attention and seriously had difficulties my parents couldnt take it and thats when they kicked me out for being evil and a sexual perversion. Luckily i have an amazing wife who has stayed by my side despite being homeless for some time we are finally in a stable place and both have jobs again and I will start transitioning at the end of April becoming of May. I would love tips and advice on my makeup and possible hair colors and styles. Also would love to know honestly if i look like a man I am okay of i do just easier tl mentally prepare for what I. Ight expect from people in my day to day if I know if I will be perceived as a man or a woman:) please comment :) this is our life lets make the best of it and be who we were meant to be.(https://www.instagram.com/p/BwEkM5GhsoX/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link%5Bsize=14pt%5D%5Bsize=18pt%5D%5B/size%5D%5B/size%5D)(//)

Dear Imabesarah
Welcome to Susan's. I hope you enjoy your time here.
Unfortunately you pictures didn't come through because they need to be hosted off site. I use www.imgur.com (http://www.imgur.com) to host mine as its free and they provide you with the correct code to put in your posts so we can all see them.
I am sorry to hear of the difficulties you have had with your parents. I have had a similar outcome with my own parents so can empathise. I am glad hear your wife has stuck by you and you have now both managed to get on your feet. Families can have strange reactions when it comes to trans women and men. I hope that you may be able to make some headway with your family.
So you are able to get the very best from being here there are a couple of links we give to all our new members
Regards
Liz

Sarah, welcome.
I'm so disheartened when I hear tales like yours. Then I come here to Susan's and recover a bit. I believe in the inherrent goodness in peiople. Hopefully, in time, you and your wife will help restore balance to your family dynamic.
When you need them most, seemingly people let you down. You are in a pickle for certain and have been in the vat for some time. I DO think that your presence here opens you up to some mental protection at the least.
The spectrum of autism varies and behaviors manifest accordingly. I might not say that the autism delayed your opportunity to have your self identification recognized; perhaps our American culture of tolerance / non-tolerance exerts a pressure on most TG folks. I have Autistic members of my family and must admit to fear in the physical environment and ignorance as to the real identity and capabilites of the individual. In our case, the person can be physically intimidating and brutal in behavior. Surely you are on a different scale? ust your presence would support the premise that you are intelligent and thoughtful and most certainly deserving of our support.
It is a pleasure to meet you.
Richelle

Hi Sarah.
Glad that at least when they say bad things about you that you don't believe them.
Hope that having a partner in on your side helps you get through some bad times!

Welcome Sarah.
If those are your real names, mind that internet never forgets. I would delete the last name, just in case you might regret putting it on internet later on.
I'm happy you have a supportive wife.
My son also has autism. I know the struggle with ignorant people.
