Hi girls
As most of you would know through my posts that in comming out living full time female all but one of my friend dumped me.
I have just recieved a phone call from the wife of a former friend which has prompted this post.
She said that they had been talking about my exwife and I and she felt I had been unfairly treated, although her husband said he cannot accept me or my choice he might be willing given time to see me pubilcly but I was not allowed to enter their house or even speak to their kids.
She said that personally she has no problems and we should do lunch soon, but I do not want a cause problems in their marrage.
What do you think?
Love
Caroline

Hi Carol,
It sounds like a bad case of transphobia which like homophobia is beyond rhyme or reason. As to whether you will affect their marriage by lunching with wife would depend on the strength of the wife in the relationship. My wife would tell me where to go should I try to tell her who she can lunch with. So my suggestion would be to make your decision based on what your knowledge is of their relationship.
Hope this helps

Hi Carol,
If the husband might be willing to see you in public in some far off unknown future than the wife can probably see you without any trouble arising. If he's willing given time to see you in public social settings I'd say it's a pretty safe bet. In the end as Shelley was alluding it's her decision. If she wants to see you then she has probably already taken into consideration any reprecussions from her husband and or discussed it with him.

Hi Cassie
Thank you for your reply, I was thinking pretty much the same as what Shelley said, but give the personal issues I have faced with these people I appreciate any advise.
Love
Caroline.

I think many people are afraid of seeing us out in public (before actually seeing us) because they are afraid we will look like this:
