Title: The joy of finding a off the rack bra the fits without alteration.
Post by: snbab on May 03, 2019, 09:54:12 AM
It was so wonderful, like a empowering and calming all day hug.

Yesterday I wore a sports bra the entire day, it was such a joy. To have a properly fitting bra. Not bunching into my armpits, shoulder straps just right. Not riding up towards my neck.

Can you tell I am so happy about this new Sports Bra.😊

Two days ago I was shopping in Walmart, while looking for new womens socks, and noticed some pink sports bras. There was some 2XL, so I bought one.

When I tried it on yesterday morning, it just felt right, didn't  take it off until late last night. How does the saying go, I am in heaven.

The closest I have felt to this was putting on the panties I found that fit me just right. (Have 12 of them now, came in assorted colors package of 6.)

This is one more sign to me that my path is correct, being just male is not enough.

I agree the right fitting bra is heaven. I also like sports bras, and the ones I have wear all day comfy.

Sounds like you had a nice shopping trip !

Enjoy

I first found proper fitting bras by going to a bra shop and letting the clerk find me some.  However, since I recently started HRT I plan on wearing sports bras, until I stop growing, when I'll go back to regular bras.  Maybe get some with a bit of extra lift, to really show things off!   ;)

I prefer the feel of the sports bras myself.

Somehow I feel empowered by this.
I am walking straighter, more upright, it seems with my posture change that I have more movement/sway in my hips. Less "guy" like, more like I see other women doing.
It's like I am proud
Even today, while not wearing that bra, I walking and standing like I am wearing it.
Maybe I finally found the proper posture/stance and movement/form.

I will see if they have a 3xl size, so it won't be quite as tight in the band.

I am only a few years behind you 8n age. So great knowing that others are moving forward successfully, gives me hope.

I got tired of real bras, just didn't feel right to me, like they were selling something that wasn't  there. That may change assuming  I start HRT and grow my own breasts.
Have a wonderful day.

I am wearing that bra again today. It feels even more natural today. I almost don't feel it at all.

I was already a 38A, when I started wearing a bra, so I actually had something to fill it.  I also started HRT a couple of weeks ago and my breasts feel a bit fuller and seem to have a more feminine profile.  Hopefully it's not my imagination.

Maybe mind over matter is helping with your growth and changes.
I tried going the herbal way, 5 months. Did get some changes,  but not more then a AAA pr AA. Nipples changed a bit. I think only I can tell the difference.
No more herbs for me. I have appointment to see therapist mid June. I always have option for informed concent using Planned Parenthood.

I understand the effects of hormones can be variable, both in time line and overall growth.  One advantage I have is I've been on dutasteride for over 2 years, so I've had an anti-androgen in my system for all that time.  I've never taken herbs.

Seems you have been progressing towards being on Estrogen HRT for quite awhile.
May I ask, did being on anti-androgen have any adverse effects on your bone strength?

I have read that long term use without using estrogen could do that.

I have no idea about that.  All I know is I've never had a broken bone and don't plan to start now.   ;)

However, my understanding is you need either E or T for bone strength. Also, the Dutasteride wasn't for progressing toward HRT.  I'm on it for BPH (enlarged prostate).  It just happens that it can also be used with HRT for feminizing effects.  Also, it can cause gynecomastia.

QuoteTransgender hormone therapy
Dutasteride is sometimes used as a component of hormone therapy for transgender women in combination with an estrogen and/or another antiandrogen like spironolactone.[7]

Thank you for clarifying.
That is my understanding  as well about needing E or T for bone strength.
I could go for some gynecomastia to jumpstart my breasts before starting HRT.😉
