Title: Champions league not helping or is it
Post by: Carla68 on May 08, 2019, 04:39:08 PM
Hi all

just wanted to put this out there

I have been on my hormones for just over 3 months and last night i watched my beloved Liverpool beat Barcelona down the pub

I'm pretty sure when we scored the 3rd goal i was not using my girl voice and didn't care

I have also just watched Tottenham beat Ajax to join Liverpool in the final in June and I can honestly say I have watched both games with the same feelings that i had before i started the hormones.

But I can't see why changing my gender would change the way I enjoy pretty much the only sport I have ever followed and so far very glad it hasn't

Not at all Carla - I'm also a Red and will be coming over to Merseyside to find somewhere to watch the final.

I think in circumstances like yesterday we just lose ourselves a bit, but by and large there's no reason why our interests would change

Nah, gender doesn't determine interests and passions any more than hair colour does.

You enjoy your sportsball lol.

I mean damn, i'd rather eat my own foot than have to watch football to be a "real man". I'd rather be over here, messing with the dolls I bought today off a guy in a carpark... which.. sounds SO seedy omg. lol.

I am also a red and hrt has had zero impact on this passion.  It is more important than life and death.

Shouldn't matter. I try to play as much golf as I did before transitioning and still watch football (the American kind, Green Bay Packer style). My mom and sister are more up on the team than I am.

At least in the U.S., there are lots of passionate women sports fans of all the major sports. So it's nothing unusual to be cheering like you did, especially for games of such high quality like those two Champions League semis. Those were outstanding matches - really heart-pounding stuff.

Yep my cis girlfriend LOVES watching handegg (MURICAN football)  It always bored me to death and still does.

There's no rule on who can like or dislike sports.

At least the champions League final is in Spain, the Europa cup is being held in Azerbaijan which was the worst LGBTQ rights rating in Europe
