Title: Hello from RachelB
Post by: RachelB on May 22, 2019, 02:59:42 PM
Hello all!
I have been viewing here for a while but now that I am finally getting started with MTF I should introduce myself.
Saw my first MH consult yesterday and was happy that she is sending me to endo next week.
I will be starting the HRT then.

I am 70 year old male that was diagnosed at age 8 with sex identity disorder. Parents raised me as male and forced me to abandon my feminine ways. Spent my life being committed to a masculine lifestyle with wife, children, military service, and friends. Am now diagnosed again with gender dysphoria and ready to enjoy the remainder of life in the body I always felt I should be in. Hoping for GRS in a years time.

So happy to be here and hope to meet many new friends !

Hi, Rachel.  It is nice to learn more about you.

There are quite a few of us "late bloomers" here.  I finally figured it all out at age 61, and started my medical and social transition at 62.  Those of us in our demographic have had a lot of water flow under our bridges, but still, there's no time like the present!  And there is no finer feeling than to live your life authentically.
