Title: Is this caused by Progesterone?
Post by: Linde on May 27, 2019, 01:24:10 PM
OK, as you can see from my ticker, I am now a seasoned progesterone taker (I take the stuff sublingual), but I cannot detect any difference for my development since I am on it.
Or am I wrong?
Could it be that progesterone is reactivating my libido?
Yesterday and today I had the thoughts that it would not be bad to get the feeling of an orgasm again.  I have not  had any thoughts like this for years now!  All of a sudden I start to think about, which pleasures genitals can bring.  To bad that I hardly have anything to manipulate, and a vibrator of some sorts would be required to get some fun with.

I also tested if porn videos could get me excited again, but that did not work, however very erotic stories did definitely increase my desire for some kind of manipulation.

My question is, is it the progesterone, or is estrogen finally willing to make my feelings whole again?
What is your ladies experience with it?

Linde, my libido increased within a few days of starting Progesterone.  So yes, maybe.
Who can tell for certain with transgender women as there is little data of the effects of P.
As far as any other changes you may hope for, you are relatively new to it and like estrogen it takes time for some things to occur.  Relax, just live life and what will happen will happen.

Thanks Jessica, I think it was worth the while to start progesterone just for the libido thing alone.  if that gets even a little better, I can start to feel "whole" again.  I had zero libido for many years now, and the thoughts that there is something fun between my legs is great!

I can't say anything about body hair, don't have any and never had any.  Libido and breast development are the only two identifiers I would have

I also experienced a slight increase in libido. Also, it seemed to make my face slightly oilier, too. I take finasteride which inhibits the conversion to allopregnanolone and haven't experienced the sedative or relaxing effects that so many others report.

All the best,

I just take estrogen and progesterone.  I used to take finasteride until I had my orchi.  I was told that I don't need the stuff anymore.

Well it's been like 2 weeks since I started taking p this time it's the bio identical type
and just in the last few days I've noticed that it has indeed lifted my sex drive ....from zero to sexual thoughts and even one orgasm ....though it wasn't anything to write home about....
