A good surgeon will minimize the scars. Depending on what you are having done, they can usually hide the incision lines extremely well. Of course part of the result depends on how your own body heals. As long as you follow your surgeons' directions on wound care, any scarring should be difficult to see.
The incision from my trachea shave goes across the middle of my neck, and another surgery required an incision under my chin. Even though I know exactly where they are, I sometimes have a hard time finding them. Worst case, a little concealer should take care of it.
