Title: Is There A Format For Press Releases?

I see the post for news guidelines, but what about a Press Release? If an organization publishes a press release, are we required to locate a news source that publishes it and then follow the guidelines? Or should we quote relevant portions of the release with a link to the press release?
Some news "sources" are not exactly credible or unbiased, and if I can locate the original source, I would prefer to cite them. Do we have guidelines for such a scenario?
