Title: For the new members here...
Post by: Sephirah on July 03, 2024, 09:17:00 PM
Okay... I am like the wallpaper of the site. I've been here since before maybe some of you were even born... but I have to say this, because I think it's important.

I see people here giving everything of themselves to help others. To... guide others. To be the light in the darkness for people who don't know who they are. Where they fit into the world. What's best for them to move forward in determining who they should, could or can be.

It takes a certain strength of character to deal with your own issues, and still put yourself out there for others. It takes a certain fortitude to give deep of yourself to help those in need.

This is something I've seen from this site time and time again. The names change but the courage, empathy and desire to be a force for good in the world doesn't.

So I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who goes above and beyond to give that extra something of yourself to help out someone who is reaching out. It makes a bigger difference than you think. And this site is kind of notorious for doing that.

From an old lady of the wobbling candlesticks... I thank you <3

@Sephirah
Dear Sephirah:
You have been a long term member here since 2008, and I thank you for posting and
sharing your thoughts and your time-proven wisdom all around the various topics and
threads on the Susan's Place Forum.

The Susan's Place site is focused and centered on our core purpose and values
of helping and encouraging our members:
---> This has kept us on track since the site's founding in 2005.

We offer a place for members to express and share questions, comments, thoughts,
testimonials, successes, good news and even not-so-good news as they are in their
various life endeavors regarding their gender identity and/or transitioning journey.

To even the occasional visitors and infrequent logins that come to the site
"it is very obvious who our members are "...that go above and
beyond to help out someone who is reaching out."

Thank you to all of our members,
for it is the combined efforts of all of us that
help make Susan's Place and the Forum the success that it is today.

Again, thank you Sephirah for sharing your thoughts.

HUGS, Danielle [Northern Star Girl]

You're absolutely right! This community is amazing. I've found so much help here from kind strangers, and I hope I can sometimes pay it forward. Thank you too, and thanks for putting it so well.
