Do you enjoy potluck or pitch-in group meals?
Do you think it works better if you setup a signup list of sorts for the food and drink, to make sure you have the right things, such as buns for burgers, or just see what happens by chance?
Often the host says that she will have this main item then people communicate with each other saying what they plan to bring.
