What is your favorite style or variety of potato?


Russet, Yukon Gold, etc. for variety.

For style:  boiled, baked, fried, scalloped, mashed, etc.

Perhaps you enjoy them in soup, curries, etc.

Red potatoes from North Dakota.

They have more flavor and less water. They make a wonderful potato salad. Baked or mashed, they are just better overall.

Oh yes, we cannot forget about potato salad. 

Seems to me there are two main varieties of that, one with mustard and it looks a bit yellow and the other that looks more creamy.

I might try growing potatoes.  Have you?

I have grown sweet potaotes.

Oh, no. There are many varieties of potato salad. I have seen four or five varieties at the deli. Mustard, Classic, Amish Style, Home Style, and German that I can think of.

Yes, you are right Lori.

I usually just get those two options that I mentioned presented at the Supermarket.

Perhaps size does matter at times.  I tend to prefer the very long French fries over the stubbly ones.

Yes! I have a garden so have my own potatoes. I got potatoes and carrots and squash for the winter.

I enjoy eating scalloped potatoes.
