Do you like to crochet?

I never learned knitting or crochet. When in a bad mood I have been accused of being crotchety though.

I actually quite enjoy crocheting as a guy. I learned from my abuela.

It's been many years, but I have enjoyed crocheting very much. I made a decent baby blanket for a friend during my graduate school years. I have no idea how I had time to do that. It's one of many of my skills/interests that made people suspicious of my orientation. I just thought it was practical and fun.

I just peeked an interest the other day. I was doing some self reflecting and remember always watching my mom doing crochet.  I suddenly had a desire to learn. I ordered some materials yesterday and watched some you-tube videos. So today some of the yarn and a set of the crochet needles came in. Damn, them videos looked easy. I have been at it for over an hour or so and I can't even get the start of a chain yet. But I absolutely am loving it. I always wanted to try this. This is going to be relaxing once I get the hang of it. It reminds me so much of my mom also. I sure do miss her.
