Title: I'm Back

Hello all,
My name is Lexxi and I'm pretty sure some of you will remember me. I started here in 2019 and was on the site so much after I came out that I ended up becoming a greeter.
Then life happened and I quit coming around. Sadly after whatever happened to the site last year happened I lost all my old posts from here. Or at least I lost most of them.
But I'm returning now.
I've completed all of my medical transition now. I had my top, bottom, and even vocal feminization surgery. When I first came out and started researching this amazing thing called transition I set goals for myself. Bottom surgery was the most important to me, then top surgery, then finally FFS. I had the top and bottom surgery and decided that I didn't want to have FFS because I was terrified of getting botched. So I thought I was done.
But something was bothering me so bad I couldn't stand it. After going through months and months of vocal training I never could get a passable voice and that bothered me a lot. Because I was starting to really pass in public but as soon as I opened my mouth it was a dead giveaway that I was trans.
My voice has bothered me forever and I never thought I would ever get that fixed. But last year I had the chance to have the Vocal Cord Shortening with Retrodisplacement of the Anterior Commissure or VCSRAC for short. That's the surgery that was invented by Dr. Kim in Seoul South Korea.
I had my surgery with Dr. Brian Nuyen at Stanford University Medical Center and it ended up perfect!! My voice passes 100%. I never get misgendered in person, on the phone or even in a drive-thru. Out of all of my surgeries my vocal surgery has been the most affirming.
So that's what's been going on with me. I look forward to catching up with you all.

Thank you Lilis! It's good to be back. I needed this site so much after I came out that I was literally online here about 20 hours per day. I was normally the very first person who responded to anyone who posted. It's good to be back.

Ha!
Not too many pics lately... the fabulous thread and before/after thread aren't the catch all social centers around here that they used to be but, I have a few pics up in my blog!... Mostly these days I am just enjoying living a quiet life by the ocean and being a wife, step mom, cat mom and a grandma!... I still do my share of public speaking at the local college and university mostly.
Life is so good and it is so wonderful to hear the sound of a life in full blossom in the words you wrote... congrats sister! Your happiness is well earned! 💕
Onward Brave Sister!

This site very literally saved my life. I couldn't stand living as a guy any longer and was ready to get it all over with. Before I could do anything I thought "why not do a little research first before I do anything rash?" So I put away the stuff I was holding and came out to my computer and searched this....."I was born male, but I feel like a girl" and that led me to my new life.
The very first site I came to on that search was Susan's. I think someone else must have typed those same words or something. But I started reading people's posts and I was mind blown. I could have written most of those posts myself from my own experiences.
I clung to Susan's Place like it was a life preserver. I really do think I'm still alive because of this site. I hope you're able to find your own happiness here too. It sounds like you are. :)

Hi Lexxi
Welcome back to Susan's. There seems to be a trend for old members popping back into Susan's and letting others know how they are going and I enjoy reading their adventures or jouneys. It's good to hear that yours was a great one.
Susan's was not around when I changed my life around in '89. However, when I visited it for the first time in 2010, I learned a lot then. I left then I came back over a year ago.
I too was a greeter for awhile, but I will spare you an introduction as I see Danielle has certainly done that.
I will leave you with part of my welcoming message to new and returning members, slightly modified:
Take care and wishing you all the best for the future.
Best Wishes Always

I would like to expand on my earlier post about how important this site is to me. Not only did it allow me to come out and be my true self, but it also led me to some of the best friends a girl could ever ask for. While on this site I met a group of girls that have become very important to me in real life.
I don't remember their usernames on here, so I'll be using their real names. I'm positive they won't mind. As I was finding myself and who I really am I was taken by a member named Moni. I know that some of you know her. She had a wicked sense of humor and we really got each other. She was friends with a member named Kim and another one named Nicole (although Nicole used to go by Steffi).
I also became quite good friends with another member named Michelle. She and I talked for hours every single night. Michelle lived fairly close to Moni.
Well in 2021 Moni and her partner invited the four of us to come and spend a week's vacation at their house. I jumped at the chance. So we ended up spending almost a week getting to know each other in real life. It was so nice to have friends that I could actually hug, and see in person. We've since been invited to Moni's each year, although I had to bow out the year I had my bottom surgery because I couldn't get the time off work.
But I've been there twice and the others have gotten together three times. Those ladies are such good friends to me that Kim even came and took care of me after my bottom surgery. It was so nice having someone here with me to talk to and laugh with.
Michelle and I got along so well that she packed up house and came to Indiana and became my roommate in 2023.
Okay so that's the "real life friends" I've made because of this site. But there are many others even though I haven't been able to see them in person....yet. Allie, that you all probably know, has become like a sister to me. She and I helped get a group of girls together, along with Katie's help, and we have a weekly group meeting every Saturday night. We've not missed a meeting in something like 4 years (we started at the same time as Covid kicked off).
So we're in each other's living rooms and dining rooms every Saturday night. We know each other's families and we've even been able to watch some of their kids grow up a lot in those years. So even though I didn't call them real life friends at first, trust me they're 100%, definitely real life friends. In fact I consider them family.
I'm afraid to start naming names though in fear that I'll accidentally leave someone out and their feelings would get hurt, and I'd never hurt any of them for anything in this world. But they all know who they are, and they all know how much they mean to me.
I can highly recommend doing group meetings like that if you're looking to expand your friendship base. You really grow close to people that way and it makes this world a whole lot less lonely. If anyone needs any help learning how to get a meeting set up just let me know and I'll tell ya what I know about doing it.

Lexxi, I remember you! You were part of a generation on this site who started transition together, all of us thinking things like surgery would never happen. We held each others hands through adversity and hugged (digitally) at triumphs. We were all mentored by Happy Moni and Kim, and also Liz and Cindy, and owe them SOOOO much, and now it's our turn to help.
It's actually almost been 5 years since we started regular Saturday Zooms in April 2020, so averaging each session at about 5 hours, we have spent over 1250 hours sharing our lives, that's more time than I have spent with any other people! And this all started on this site!
You light up the room everywhere you go, and your passion can get you in trouble, but you are one person who has truly blessed my life, and I'm sure many more!
Hugs,
Allie
