Susan's Place Transgender Resources

I rebooted my network, and cleared my browser but the problem continues to exist.

Is the site experiencing congestion issues, or is it just me?

Seems to be functioning well for me sister! 💕

Yea susans is lagging pretty badly... fyi....

I hope it is backed up to limit any losses. 

Chugging here a bit for the last few days.

I found it agonisingly slow last night (UK time).  It is okay now (15:16 pm UK time).  I did notice that Susan's had about 8000 visitors yesterday, about double what it was getting in the previous days.  I suppose it would normally be slowest when Americans descend with leisure onto their computers.

Perhaps a sort of denial of service attack.
It is still slow at times this morning.  Not much fun to use this Web site because of the lag.

Thanks everyone! I'm still experiencing slow rendering speeds, like 16s latency.

Speed has now improved.

I was having issues yesterday and this morning.

I did the same thing: cleared the cache, flushed DNS, and rebooted the modem and PC. It's not on the user end. Other sites load quickly, but Susan's is taking 30 seconds to load a page.

It seems to be improving now, though.

Definitely not a DDoS. There could be maintenance going on in the background or possibly weather or other connection issues at the server.

Now it is slow again.

Hi Everyone

It's slow here in Australia and I would tend to think a Denial of Service is in progress.  Other websites load fairly quickly compared with Susan's Place.  In other countries like Canada, its not slow.

You'd think the IT miscreants of the world would have better things to do but... apparently not.

Danielle and her team will sort this out. :) If there's one thing you can always rely on, it's the staff of Susan's being consummate professionals and working as quickly as possible to restore the smooth running of the site. Take this from someone who's been on that side for a lot of years. They've got this. :)

Patience is suggested.

The staff is on this. I know from personal experience that site function is like top of the to-do list. Trust that they are working on this. As much as they can. :)

I will not be able to spend the evening with my sweetie, so it will not be as good an evening as it could be.  I saw her at lunchtime.  She is coming down with a cold I think.

She liked my purple blazer and white blouse.  She always looks nice, no matter what she wears.  We had a salad.

Chrissy, you can always find a way, sweetie. It doesn't have to be through this site. Email, or discord, or.. there are a hundred different ways for you both to share your evening. This site isn't the be-all and end-all of loving someone you love. The cyberworld is a big massive place.

Go get creative, sweetie... and may I just say... I am so happy for you. <3

It is very laggy again!

My experience today has been much better than in the previous couple of days.

It is better today.  At times it slows down though. 

It's a relatively better today but just to perfectly honest it's still pretty slow.

Like going from 1/10 to 3/10 performance to put it into perspective.

It takes at least 20 seconds to see the LOGIN box, then 30 seconds to process my login entries, then 30 seconds to see the list of unread posts.

Sometimes during the session it is quicker to go between topics, but then it slows down.

It took at least 30 seconds to see the post above after I clicked the POST button.

They last post above took only six seconds to post.

I was having troubles loading pages until this morning. It's been moving really slow the last couple days.

Today, logging in took ages.  Liking or thanking posts take so long that there is a risk of tapping the buttons twice and accidentally unliking and unthanking them.

It does take a long while to login and to go to another topic.
Then going to another topic speeds up, for a while.
Then it slows.

Clicking a function twice does not speed things up.  Much like hitting the elevator button repeatedly, it is usually ineffective.  The same when hitting the crosswalk button repeatedly.  The function does eventually work, so patience is required.

Many of those crosswalk buttons do nothing to activate the walk signal, so I hear.  It is for psychological comfort and potential signal activating if traffic management people want to set it up.

The staff is fully aware of the "Laggy Forums" problem and we are working
very hard to solve the issues.

Our back-up system was improved last year after more donation funds became
available as a result of last spring's donation drive. 
It is fully functional so that a site crash is most unlikely.

Please bear with us as corrective actions are being implemented.

that we are back to normal with good response times when posting and searching
around the Forum Topics and Threads.
