Title: Have you tried hip pads or hip shapers?

Have you tried hip pads or hip shapers? How did it work out for you?
I have long said that I just want to appear as myself without any padding or hip shapers.
I recently have become more disappointed that my hips just will not expand (although if I gained a lot of weight I suppose everything might expand. I do not want that to happen just to get wider hips.)
I just want my hips to look rounder back there in the buns, to stick out nicely.
Exercise is fine but it does not seem to be enough, and neither does MTF HRT. I want no injections or surgeries, so I am considering wearables to use occasionally. It would prefer them to have a gradual size increase over time.
For the end result, I would like to have a very tight and firm round, bubblelicious, attractive bubble butt. Not large.

I had them in my armored riding jeans. They look like denim but have kevlar (I think) woven through to resist abrasion in a crashotel and armour at the knee. They gave me a great outline!

Yes, I have.
I have the Divine Collection Jolie Thigh Pads (https://thebreastformstore.com/divine-collection-jolie-silicone-thigh-pads/), which are self-adhering. Similar to Chrissy I was not happy with how square my body looks in the mirror and those hip pads make a huge difference, especially when wearing pants or pencil skirts.
While I would much prefer having my own curves and not having to deal with the pads, I do love them and wear them regularly and quite frequently.
While they are self-adhering I found that I have to wear pantyhose, leggings or some cyclist-style shapewear that covers my upper thighs to prevent them from falling off, especially in the summer months when some moisture might build up on the skin. Going to the restroom is not easy as they have a tendency to peel off when sitting down, especially in summer.
But I do love the curves they give me!
I also have a cheaper pull-on set of foam pads in a piece of shapewear, but I rarely use them as they are a bit too thick giving me an unnatural butt and they also move around a bit. Only advantage of that style is that they are easier to handle in the restroom.

Heidemarie,
Thank you.

Yes I have a pair of panties with butt pads and hip pads in them. I like my shape when I wear them and it makes my butt pop out more.

I have those. These are the ones I described as foam-padded shape wear. In my opinion they create a bit of an unnatural look and I much prefer the silicone pads. They are fine under a skirt, but with leggings the look is not convincing.

I have not ordered any hip shaper yet.
I am still thinking about doing so.
I probably should be satisfied with what I have so far and hope the HRT makes further progress.

Early in my transition, my therapist suggested I might want to explore some padding as a way to offset some of my dysphoria and body dysmorphia. I bought a hip/butt pads combo from Love My Bubbles but every time I put it on I felt like I was suiting up for battle. It ended up in the Box of Discarded Tries.
8 months or so ago, Unclockable came out with a lightweight set of hip pads and I decided to give them a try. I've found them to give me just the right bit of hip expansion in jeans, with leggings and skirts/dresses. My wife says they add a bit of curve to my butt, too, but that's her opinion and YMMV.

Although tempted I still have not tried a hip shaper.
