Some frozen dinner entrees do not seem to taste as good nowadays.
Maybe it is just me.
Perhaps the manufacturers are changing some ingredients.

I ate one of those Swanson Hungry Man XXL frozen dinners once. It filled me up (surprisingly) but then I thought "Wait, I'm full, but of exactly what?"
Quiet down there in the peanut gallery!

I will try a different brand of frozen lasagna. Something has changed with the brand that I have bought many times. For the third package to taste odd, bought at different stores, I think that it is now made differently.
Got a laugh that the label said something like 50% more than our ten ounce package! This one was like 15 ounces.
Do they think we are dumb consumers?

Findus crispy pancakes were the first thing I cooked age 31! Not seen them for ages.
Dad got away without cooking til he was 84!

My wife says you're guaranteed to burn your mouth on those.

I stopped buying Swanson for that reason. The portions kept getting smaller, but the price kept going up. I keep trying other brands, but they all seem to do the same thing.
Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are still (relatively) cheap. ;D

I'm not sure its just TV dinner/prepackaged food. Nothing seems to be as flavorful as i remember. Its a daily struggle to find the flavor combinations that please my palate. Nothing on this side of the pond is as tasty as in UK, EU.
I attribute it to the freshness and lack of preservatives in Europe in general.

If you go to a bodega or a close market each day for fresh food you can enjoy that nicety.
I hear people in NYC do this a lot still.
However many people are busy nowadays and stock up at a bigger grocery store weekly.

I tried a Swedish meatballs and noodles frozen meal from the grocery. Stouffer's. Not bad. Worthy of a try.

I thought this would be a topic about how certain foods taste differently since going on HRT. Alas I was wrong.
Since I'm here I'll say this. I rarely eat frozen dinners. Can't comment on that. But my liking for beer has diminished. I used to love ales and IPAs, and drank them often. Now most of them don't go down so well. They just don't taste as good. I still like a few though and will have one now and then. Especially on a hot day. It's more of a treat instead of a ritual.

Alas I was wrong.Hmmm, I must admit, I'm starting to loose the taste for beer these days. I used to love an IPA but now I'm not all that big a fan. I do like the older creamy real ales but you don't see so many of them these days. I thought it was because I was getting older and had a break from pub drinking for a while to get on top of alcohol conumption but now I'm wondering, could it be HRT?

Mind I hardly drink anything these days so it might just be that.

Lost my tolerance to alcohol. I first got drunk at 13 and was a heavy drinker by 16. My parents had alcohol problems and I think I inherited it. Used to love IPA and a large Gentleman Jack on the rocks or a glass of red.
Going back to frozen dinners Iceland do really good lasagne. Not seen one of my favourites for years the Findus crispy pancake.

My wife introduced me to the crispy pancake. I mean, I didn't divorce her. Thought about it. 🤣
