Sometimes there are foods that seem to be really gross, yet lots of people like to eat them.
Guinea pigs are eaten in Peru!

Deep fried Mars Bars are eaten in Scotland. :P
I actually wouldn't mind trying that. Apparently it tastes far better than it smells. Which is, frankly, horrific.

I have heard that many US state fairs serve deep fried treats, such as Twinkies.
I have never wanted to try any of them.
However, I will eat a deep fried elephant ear. Those are not made from elephants.
Those who sell them at the fairs must make a lot of money off of them. Not much too them besides a bread type dough and sugar.

I had to google that, Chrissy, because it's also a plant. And I was like hmm, people deep fry it? Apparently not. It has no greenery in it at all, lol. We have something in the UK called an Elephant's Foot. It's a kind of... uh... cream filled pastry coated in chocolate. A bit of a monstrosity.

Not to be confused with the giant radioactive mess at Chernobyl, lol.
