Title: Breast size
Post by: Tills on May 15, 2025, 11:15:28 AM
I'll put this in here as I don't want to upset anyone in the breast augmentation thread area.

I had my breasts measured professionally today for the first time, with a proper bra fitting service.

42DD.

The lovely ladies couldn't believe I had no implants, until I took off my (crazily tight) sports bra. Anyway, they fitted me with some great bras and my breasts looked wonderful - their word. Very happy with the new cleavage too :D

Edit: they are Tanner stage 5

I've had a lot of rubbish things happen in my life so this is one thing I'm delighted about.

xx

I am happy for you, since you are happy with yourself.

I am happy with my 38A girls.  At least they are all mine, and I think they are pretty cute.

Certainly affirming!  Good for you!

Mine are all me too! 44C means not likely to ever have implants either.

Congratulation Tills, most of us are envious! I managed a 42C, and I was reasonably happy. It was not a dysphoria trigger and all me, which were my priorities, but a friend of mine kept arguing that for practical reasons, I should consider augmentation. I had to admit that it was hard to get bras my size, that with my upper body and belly size, I could be taken for an overweight man, and I did have nearly half a cup asymmetry.

So for purely practical reasons, I did get augmentation to even sized D's. Surprisingly, this made me much more confident to go to the beach and pool, and day to day, has noticeably reduced the amount of times I am misgendered. It had a greater effect than I had considered, and, though I have a 'thing' about being non natural, I am glad I had it done.

Hugs,

Allie

Nicely filling a 36B. I'd prefer a 38 band  (or laying off the cake!) but haven't stumbled across any yet.

I'm at a 40B. But I had a 40" chest before transition, so that is my torso size. I can drop down to a 38C and use a band extender so I can breathe, which I found to be very important.  ;D

Thanks for lovely comments everyone. I wanted to tread really carefully with this thread. @ChrissyRyan mentioned in another thread just now that when you transition the changes are what your body gives you.

Please also know that I have had some truly awful, awful, things happen in my life so I am just grateful for this way in which Mother Nature smiled and gave something back.

I'll get around to posting in the Introductions section soon. With what's going on in the western world, I feel like I need you all and this place like never before.

Isn't it lovely to carry such breast weight!

I am up to 36 DD cup on a good day.

I spend several hours every day on a hospital grade electric breast pump. I'm trying to get breast milk.

I got my breasts professionally measured back in February and I was a 54B back then.  And I've found in the last few months, at first my bra did have a little space at the top, but I noticed today that I don't have that space anymore.  And I've been trying to loose weight and while the scale has been saying that I am gaining (of course people have said not to worry over the numbers a scale gives), I have been seeing other parts of my body shrinking like between me breasts and waist.  But I have noticed that my hips have gotten wider and now today, I wonder if the fat is going to those two places, or other parts have been growing. (My bloodwork from a few days ago showed my prolactin is a little high.)

And having recently switched to wearing women's tops full time, I've been noticing that when I am wearing no bra, my nipples are poking through (and one white shirt I can see my dark aerola and nipples through the shirt with no bra).  They were hidden by even the lightest men's tops (just shows how dense the fabric is on mens clothing versus women's clothing).    However, I have also noticed that I can definitely see the roundness of my breasts through the tops now (they're lower when I don't have bra on, and not as pronounced, but they still stick out and you can see them in side profile.  The men's tops were hiding those as well.

Sorry for resurrecting a thread but the subject matter interested me.

I have not been for a professional measurement but whenever I use the bras calculators they always come up with crazy sizes.

I have found that experimentation was the only way to determine my size. I can currently fill a 42DD (sometimes 40DD) and the band is comfortable and supportive. If I try a 40D I'm spilling out the cups. Annoyingly one breast is slightly bigger than the other which can make it tricky sometimes.

When I was thinner I was a 36C so I don't know if, when I loose the weight, I would end up back there or whether I've had more growth alongside the weight gain. Time will tell I suppose.

I'm curious if a professional fitting would suggest something different. Did you girls that have had one find that they suggested something wildly different?

Definitely is a good size anything above C is for sure. On larger frames it takes a lot to be visible.

If I don't reach a full C I'll definitely be getting surgery to sort it. Currently a small 38B.

My breasts are the best thing that's ever happened to me, as I dreamed of having them since I was young.

My underbust measures 33.5-34" (snug) and a loose tape over my breasts (no bra) is about 41". My breasts are full and round and have a mature shape. I've been wearing 36C bras but I'm spilling out of the cups, so I need to try a 36D or 38C.

I never could have imagined that this miracle could happen to me. The crazy thing is that I'm still closeted. If I don't come out full-time, this summer is going to be the most difficult one yet.

    @Courtney G
Dear Courtney:
What you reported sounds to me like a good problem for any MTF in serious transition.

Yes indeed, before I came out Full-Time, I had "been there" with trying to present as male
with  "hard-to-hide"  36/38 C/D breasts.

With that breast size you will soon need to consider coming out of the closet, or if not, this
coming summer and hot weather, you can try wearing very loose tops with a snug
"no-show" Sports Bra or T-shirt bra.

Loose Button up tops might work better that pull-over. Look for tops with a design, embroidery,
or button-up vest pockets over the chest area.

I was wondering if gel inserts would yield an occasional slight bounce.
I have always preferred to be just me though.  I am a B cup.

Obviously I am not talking about the jiggle when doing jumping jacks, just a very slight one.

No HRT but my bustline is 33 inches with a 30 inch under bust.

This is pretty much the sample size for women's clothing!  Very easy for me to find women's tops that fit!

The past few summers have been difficult, with each one being a bigger challenge than the previous one. I'm going through a growth spurt since switching to injections, so the base and projection levels are going to make this summer even harder.

As I think I mentioned somewhere on here, Columbia's "Bahama II" line of outdoor wear shirts were my go-to, in a size too large. The pleated breast pockets really helped. I stuck to seamless spandex bras with the pads removed and did occasionally wear TomboyX compression tops when more aggressive hiding was required. I looked comical in those shirts, with my thin arms sticking out of the big sleeves and the whole shirt looking way to big for my frame.

I can wear a small men's tee (snug), with a medium being form-fitting, to give you some perspective on my frame. As of this point, there's no configuration in which I can wear a large tee, with or without compression, and present a plausibly masculine silhouette. When I do wear any sort of shirt, I had to wear heavier 6 ounce ones rather than the lightweight ones, which draped across my body and accentuated my shape.

I'll admit that this is a wonderful problem to have. I know I'm lucky, as you must have when you were developing. But of course, it would be much easier to just be out as myself. Let's hope the two rounds of cosmetic facial surgery this spring/summer bring me to a place in which I feel comfortable taking that leap.

I'm pretty sure the DD cup will go down as I loose weight. They are tanner 5 so I think the development must have stopped by now.

Not that I'm advocating being overweight but that coupled with baggy clothing like hoodies in boy mode has meant I've never had any questions. Got away with it for a few years now. Would far rather be thin though.

When i was cycling back when I was thinner I used to have to wear a sports bra as the lycra is unforgiving. Not entirely sure I got away with that!

I do see people looking but I think they just think they're moobs. Sometines they are checking them out though and you see them talking at your boobs instead of your face!

Boobs are fantastic though!

To the original question though has anyone found a massive supprise when getting professionally measured?

It's not actually as big as you would think as the frame is big too. If it was 36DD that would be different. 40/42DD is perfectly manageable. Nothing wrong with B's or A's, they're cute!

As I've lost weight my breasts have stayed just as large (DD) so that they now look even bigger on me. I'm sure I've read somewhere that once you've got them you've got them: that they don't go down ;)

My Bs are seem to stay the same size, even though I have dropped and kept off about six pounds.

My sweetie say she enjoys them, they are a handful and that is plenty enough.  Then I remind her that she has very small hands and she is a C+ D size.  She rolls her eyes and says she likes me bunches, and a sweet embrace and a kiss ended that discussion!

I thought there was a rule that for each band size reduction you went down a cup?
Title: Re: Breast size
Post by: Tills on February 08, 2026, 04:29:01 AM
You may be right actually that they would reduce @Stottie Girl although not by as much as that idea. There's a lot of fat tissue in breasts. I guess being an appendage the skin wouldn't shrink though so it's likely they would go more saggy.

All I can say is that I've lost 10 kgs and my breasts haven't altered. In fact, they now look bigger.

Well either way it sounds better than I thought (except saggy boobs!)

In all honesty I wish my right one would reduce a bit (or the left one grow bigger) I think there's nearly half a cup difference. This is fairly normal with CIS women though I believe. I'm not sure anyone else would notice it particularly.

I've lost 2.5 stone so far mind and they haven't reduced much yet! But I was so overweight I couldn't easily get bras so I'm not sure what size I was.

Haven't started my HRT yet, when I've been  overweight my chest is one of the areas where my weight gain is noticeable. And right now, I'm sitting at 210lbs and I've got "moobs" that are a solid C cup. My chest size is a 44.

In shape I'm a 36/38 and I could wear my wifes Bras she's 36 or 38 c.

So I'm not worried about whether or not I'm going to get good breast growth. I am concerned that they're going to get to big.

I wouldn't worry, trans people rarely get breasts that are too big. 42DD doesn't appear all that big to be honest because of the larger frame. It could be different if you are 36 band though. Weight can help the size but it's more to do with genetics I think. Usually around the same size as your mother or sister is the rule of thumb (though I'm bigger than mine!)

I just pray that mine will get anywhere near D cups! I'm not sure at what point they are expected to grow more. Mine stopped at 6 months now a small B cup. I look like I've got man boobs so keep getting misgendered all the time. I'm just hoping this isn't the final size!

Can't really agree with that. I suppose if you're shorter you look stockier maybe that is more true. But I know plenty of taller cis women who have larger frames and big breasts, My breasts look huge and I've noticed that they are often the first signifier people use in correctly gendering me as a woman.

I've a bemusing story about this. A very good friend of mine is a woman who transitioned decades ago from her gender assigned at birth. I'll call her friend 1. Yeah Imgur is blocked over here.

From Google AI "Imgur blocked UK access in late 2025 following a probe by the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) regarding potential violations of child data protection laws and the stringent requirements of the Online Safety Act. Rather than comply with new, complex age-verification, Imgur chose to withdraw"

They don't want to comply with anti child porn laws so they banned the uk!

Pectoral workouts such as bench presses and pushups can build the muscle beneath the breasts. Although this will not make the breasts bigger this exercise can give boobs a perkier and more firm appearance.

Really depends on how much muscle you pack on there's some female body builders who go way lean and end up having to get implants.

But as far as I know being as I've not worked out with the idea of maintaining a feminine body, it's  not just pectoral workouts but anything working the chest, upper back, the shoulders, lats. All of that is going to help dealing with the shifting weight and help keep pressure off your lower back.

Wandering off topic, and I'm sure you all know this, but if you do wish to protect your privacy for whatever reason or to watch programmes and websites that may not be accessed in your own country then there are loads of VPN's out there, and some excellent free ones.

I use VPNs to watch sports which can be geographically restricted and when I'm travelling it's really useful for BBC iPlayer. It's also helpful if you are using a website which wants to place a heap of trackers, euphemistically called cookies, on your computer to spy on you. West coast tech companies seem to be amongst the worst offenders for this although there are some other surprising ones. A weather channel I use tries to place 3,500 trackers on my system. I generally use DuckDuck Go for this reason and if I ever use Google (one of the worst offenders out there) I always clear my cache immediately on exit.

(For the avoidance of doubt this is not an advocacy for viewing anything illegal.)

Yeah same. UK 18-20 tops, dresses and skirts.

I've got a whole wardrobe of fantastic dresses etc size 14 from back when I was slimmer. Can't wait to slim down to that again. Could look fantastic if I keep my bazonkas! That's my carrot on a stick!

Size 12 to 14 here but I'd like to be 10. The weight's coming off so I hope so.

This isn't just vanity: my surgical team won't operate with a high BMI.

I'm a size 16 for dress but mostly because shoulders and chest size. Can sometimes fit size 14 bottoms or jumpers. Try to avoid things without any stretch as stretch makes fit better. No intention to lose weight really.

Yeah, your post on that was a wake up call for me. Kickstarted a fresh drive for the diet! Size 14 for me (due to height) was 13 stone so that would be just under the bar. Seems a very low bar though! I wonder if that is just the UK though
