Title: Hi Girls
Post by: RandiAlex on May 30, 2025, 10:48:32 AM
I am a cross-dresser in oldish age, I have been dressing since puberty, always in secret, but now I live alone and dress all the time and it is wonderful, liberating and I just feel free. I am trying to be more feminine and am letting my hair grow, now over my ears and long enough for a small ponytail. Recently I decided to be open about my "gender" and wear skirts most of the time, so much cooler than jeans, I am practicing with makeup and I hope practice will make nearly perfect. I have had my ears pierced and continually wear earrings, nice long dangly ones usually. I dress for my age and normally wear midi skirts with knee high stockings and T shirt type tops.  No-one seems to bother and if anyone asked, which is rare, I tell them that I am a cross-dresser.
So that's what I do, it is also important how I feel which is relaxed, at home with myself and rather happy. I have only had one negative reaction from friends which I was expecting from that person and it is fine as she has very narrow views but otherwise is a lovely lady.
So here I am a happy vintage cross-dresser! xx

Hahaha, RandiAlex, I hear you, same for me, but recently I've been feeling a little lonely, but at the same time I don't know if I want to give it up.

Sorry... just thinking out loud.  ;D

Welcome to Susan's Place! 💗

@Northern Star Girl

Thanks Danielle! 💕

Dear Lilis:
You are correct... we can be lonely in the sense that almost all of us here on the Forum do not have enough accepting and receptive like-minded friends, of course that is only ONE of the reasons of why we came to the Forum.... Information and support abounds here on Susan's Place, ready to be taken advantage of. :)

this is so true. I have yet to find connections in my local area with people to hang out with. I come hear for strength,  comfort,  knowledge annd peace of mind. This allowed me to share my story recently with 2 family members.
This place may not be real life so's to speak and it does not take place of the real life loneliness.  But it also can help one gain the confidence in yourself to help make those real word connections.

Welcome, Randi! I'm glad that you've found happiness as you've found yourself. There are many wonderful and supportive people here to help you continue on your journey. Ask questions, browse around for information and jump into conversations where you feel comfortable.

@Lilis and @Annaliese - our lives can be, sometimes, filled with loneliness, especially when we live away from vibrant TG/CD communities where support, friendship and camaraderie are available. I, too, live in an area like that. It is places like this, and others that I frequent, where I've found friendship and support. Stick with what makes you happy. Reach out - we're all here to lift each other.

Welcome to Susan's, you'll find we're a broad mix with hardly any two of us alike but we've a wealth of experience to share and many of us are over over the age of 50. We have lots of empathy and there's plenty of advice in the how-to section, so make yourself at home!

Hi Randi! Welcome! I too started crossdressing during puberty and have been a closet crossdresser for a very long time.  Nice to meet you.
