It's official: The 988 LGBTQ+ Youth Specialized Services program will close its doors on July 17 — but if you're in crisis, that doesn't mean you're alone.

If you're an LGBTQ+ person experiencing a mental health crisis, it's important to know that you still have people on your side, and there are resources you can use to get support.

Trans Lifeline: US (877) 565-8860 / CAN (877) 330-6366
Trans Lifeline is active Mondays through Fridays from 1-9 p.m. Eastern time.

The Trevor Project: (866) 488-7386
Although the organization's partnership with the 988 hotline is ending, the Trevor Project's hotline for LGBTQ+ young people ages 13-24 is still active round-the-clock, as it has been since 1998. Those in need can also text 678678 from any SMS service or use the organization's online chat platform to speak with a counselor. (https://chat.trvr.org/)

LGBT National Help Center Hotlines
The LGBT National Help Center runs multiple phone lines for LGBTQ+ people with differing needs, each open from 2-11 p.m. Eastern time Monday through Friday and 12-5 p.m. on Saturdays.
