Title: Apparently, my dysphoria is no match for the power of cat snuggles

OK, so my dysphoria has been getting rough over the last few months. Mornings, in particular have been bad. When I have to change into my guy clothes, it hits me hard - like, breaking down crying hard - and then I feel depressed and miserable for the rest of the the day.
But, the other week, just as I was about to lose it, one of my cats decided to come over for a quick cuddle, which seemed to pull me out of it. Since then, whenever those feelings start to hit me, I pet a cat. So far, it seems to be working.
I think I found the cheat code. 😆

Cats rule!
Dogs are fine too.
There are exceptions for both!

Cats have the ability to sense your emotions and that is probably why your kitty came to your aid. I have had cats all my life from childhood and they have given me great pleasure emotionally. Dog people just do not give any interest in a kitty and what mystery they possess it is their loss for sure.

Nope, not true. I have seen the same magic happen between doggos and their owners. You are correct that it is an emotional sense that animals have. Service animals are trained in what to do when they sense something is up. Pets that we have an emotional bond with just seem to know what we need. Even when we don't.
