CNN reports that the Tennessee-based restaurant chain deleted its "Pride page" and erased references to employee resource groups including its LGBTQ+ and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) and Belonging groups from another part of its website.
"On behalf of Cracker Barrel's LGBTQ+ Alliance & DEIB Team, we want to celebrate YOU for being YOU. It is our greatest Mission to ensure that Pleasing People means 'all people,'" the company's now-deleted pride page reads, according to CNN.
The website now redirects to Cracker Barrel's "Culture & Belonging" page, which no longer provides a list of employee resource groups and instead speaks more broadly about making everyone feel at home.
This news comes about a week after the restaurant chain announced that it was dropping its new logo and returning to the "Old Timer" after receiving backlash from customers and politicians.
The restaurant chain originally unveiled a new logo on Aug. 18 as part of a new campaign...
The new logo differed in that it no longer featured the image of a man seated next to a barrel, which had represented Cracker Barrel since 1977.
The restaurant chain received fierce reaction from many, including President Donald Trump...
---------------------------------------
The President disliked that Cracker Barrel removed an orange man from its logo. After they put it back, he was happy.
