Former comedy writer Graham Linehan was arrested by Metropolitan Police at Heathrow Airport on Monday over three social media posts, according to his own account published on his blog yesterday.
The 57-year-old Father Ted creator said five armed officers detained him after he disembarked from a flight from Arizona. He was taken to Heathrow police station and later transported to hospital.

People leave their brains at the door when they post on social media. It's a human pandemic far more subtle than Covid.
I have seen stuff about this but had no idea who this dude was.
I think people have the right to their own opinion. To think what they want about other people. We all do it. But advocating violence is no bueno.
He probably thought he was being "funny". Like that other douchebag Ricky Gervaise. Only people who are on board with their own particular brand of garbage will find it funny. Some people should just not be allowed to let their own poisonous views bleed through by virtue of being somewhat famous. Looking at you, Rowling. Think what you like but just keep it to yourself. Social media isn't a soapbox.

I have to disagree with this statement. I strongly disagree with what Linehan says, but I will defend to my very last breath, his right to voice his opinions. Censorship is never the answer,
