Do you like to listen to rain?
For me, it can be soothing.

I love listening to the rain. I grew up in Oregon, (I no longer live there) and I so miss the rain, the foggy days, and the green trees and fresh fruit. To me the sound of rain brings back all of these memories, and the air being so clean after a good rain.

Oregon is nice. I especially enjoy the coastal area. Yes, it can be foggy.

Yep. I don't know when it happened. But, I grew to really enjoy watching it rain and opening the window while it rains, when I can. But if the wind shifts, I gotta close the window. Plus, the less I have to run the A.C., the better. I absolutely despise summer colds.

When I was very young, maybe 5 or 6, I was terrified of thunderstorms. My dad (an Electronics Engineer) tried to explain to me that the thunder was just the sound caused by the lightning superheating the air. I looked at him like, huh?
My mom stepped in and said that lightning was really just a crack in the sky, and if you look very quickly, you can get a glimpse of Heaven.
I lost my fear of storms and would stay up listening to the rain and watching for cracks in the sky.
Many years later, I began to study electricity and electronics in particular, and lightning still fascinates me to this day.
