Title: VPN ?
Post by: Athena on September 17, 2025, 11:06:57 AM
Hi I am just trying to prep for hopefully a medical trip to India and I downloaded a vpn on my main system and now it is totally banned from Susan's. Even when I turn off the vpn my system is still banned. Yes I can still access Susan's from my laptop but it is really inconvenient and hard to see.

Is there anything I can do to get my main system back on Susan's ? I use bitdefender vpn I bought it when it was 50% off and I activated it because I wanted to see if it was possible to reduce the costs of airfare by setting my location to different countries. I set my location to India and the prices seemed to have been worse.

Hey Sister

I have had issues with a message banner about being permanently banned from the forum when using my vpn on my phone... If I turn off the vpn I still get the banned message and no access... But, if I turn off the vpn... erase recent web history/cookies and then restart the phone, it fixes the issue!... Hope that helps!

Onward!

Ashley 💕

I had the same issue when I used my VPN last week.

If you're blocked from Susan's Place while using a VPN, please send me a private forum message with your exact **IPv4 address** and the **full ban or error message** you received. To find your IPv4, first connect your VPN, then visit **WhatIsMyIP.com** and copy the address shown (it will appear as four numbers separated by dots, for example `8.8.8.8`).

Many VPN exit nodes are widely abused by forum spammers and may be blocked for everyone using that node. We also maintain some older anti-spam ranges that can occasionally catch legitimate traffic. When you send both your IPv4 and the exact wording of the ban message, I can pinpoint the trigger and determine whether the block can be safely adjusted.

For privacy, please don't post your IP publicly—send it to me by PM. If you need immediate access while I review the filters, try switching your VPN to a different country or city and log in again; then still PM me the blocked IPv4 and the ban text so I can track it down.

**Cached bans (A great tip from tgirlamg/Ashley):** on some phones or browsers, the "banned" page can be cached. Turning off the VPN, clearing recent history and cookies, and restarting the device restored access for her. If you still see a ban after disconnecting the VPN, try that sequence before reconnecting—and remember to PM me your IPv4 and the ban message so I can investigate.
