I go by Denise Grace. A few of you may or may not remember me. I've come and gone from tis site 3-4 times over that last few years.
old woman here. I'm 70. There for a while I could moderately pass. Got some Mam responses from guys, even some wolf whistles. Taken HRT drugs for several years. Have my ladies or the bosom that grew in.
Had some serious heath issues that have made me less passable. Can't workout, be as mobile, turn heads much, Serious issues that have also aged me. I went my whole life with people guessing me 10-15 years younger. I even purged all my lady clothes 2-3 times. As a retiree on a fixed income I don't get out much, but it would sure be great to find a fellow or few that would look passed that

Hi Denise Grace,
Welcome!
Woman often get involved in group activities. The local Senior Center offers outings for women. Maybe you could inquire if they would allow you to join them? I've often been at museums and seen groups of women.

@DeniseGrace
Dear Denise Grace:
I am so very glad that you felt led to register as a member once again. I am always so happy to
see our members arrive here on the Susan's Place Forum.
I much enjoyed reading your introduction and I was pleased to read that you had many successes in your
transition, passed as the female that you are, and felt acceptance as you went about your day.
I am so sorry to read of your serious health issues. As we all age we can not turn back the
clock on our physical abilities... all of us may face those things as time goes by, but meanwhile
I feel that it is important to do what you can, when you can... and that you will have those fond
memories to look back upon.
I am wishing you a WARM WELCOME here... or should I say Welcome Back?
As you feel the freedom to share and post more of your thoughts here, you will undoubtedly find
like-minded members - some older than yourself that you may become friends with.
This website is huge, with a lot of information from Real People who have lived through these things for decades. There is much wisdom here. Feel free to browse, learn, and share your experiences too. We all learn from each other.
Clicking the HOME (https://www.susans.org/index.php) Button on any page will take you to where you can see and visit the many
sub-forums and TOPICS here on the Forum and you can feel free to comment and share your experiences.
Each sub-forum has a description of what that sub-forum board is about, as well as any guidelines for posting.
Please keep in mind when posting that this is an ALL-AGES PUBLIC Forum and the internet never forgets. Do not post anything that you do not want to be made public.
You will find the Forum to be a Friendly and Accepting place that you can share whatever is on
you mind.... without any judgement from our members.

Hi Denise Grace,
I remember your name — it's really good to see you again!
The way you told your story resonates deeply. The cycles of coming and going over the years, the purges and costly rebuilding on a fixed income, your time on HRT, and those affirming "ma'am" moments and wolf whistles all marked a different season of life. What strikes me most is your persistence. After each purge, you found your way back to yourself. You're still here, still showing up.
Health issues can move the goalposts. When we lose mobility or can't work out like before, it changes how the world reads us. That hurts, even when we're solid in who we are. I was recently diagnosed with diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol, so I get it. I'm slowly fighting all three back down.
Aging hits differently, too, when you've spent a lifetime looking 10–15 years younger than your actual age. Missing that everyday affirmation is completely natural. Many women, both cis and trans, experience a shift in visibility as they age, but visibility and worth are entirely different things. The qualities that truly draw people close — experience, judgment, humor, kindness — deepen rather than fade with time.
You carry hard-won wisdom from years on HRT and decades of living this journey. That wisdom matters, regardless of whether strangers give you a second glance.
If you're seeking connection with people who see beyond the surface, you'll find many here who do exactly that. Plenty of members navigate fixed incomes, health limitations, and the recalculations that come with both.
When you feel ready, consider sharing what brings you joy now: the clothes that feel comfortable and affirming, small daily routines that spark happiness, and stories from your head-turning days. These details help others recognize themselves in you, and that's often where genuine friendships begin.
You're not starting over; you're continuing your journey with considerable experience behind you and a community that sees the woman who earned every mile.
