I haven't had the opportunity yet. It's something I'd be interested in trying but I think my cardiologist would disagree.

Mornings are for eggs benedict and on occasion if I can find it biscuits and gravy. Mostly though if I do eat breakfast its what ever I have around. I've only ever had biscuits and gravy once when I was in Milwaukee for Gen-Con and I think my response to "how were they ?" was I can feel my arteries hardening but they were good.

I think I've had it.. like southern fried chicken but with beef IIRC?
If that's the thing I had it in a restaurant when I worked in Florida.

Not to be confused with chicken-fried chicken!
Chicken-fried steak or "country-fried steak" is a Southern American dish made from tenderized beefsteak, most often cube steak. The beef is breaded and fried in a manner similar to the way you make fried chicken.
It is usually served hot with creamy gravy and is often accompanied by sides like mashed potatoes and other veggies.

To also note this gravy is nothing like what we call gravy in the UK 😆
A light colored creamy sauce. I think it's also called sawmill gravy sometimes? I've had it with Southern fried chicken and biscuits too with mash and sweetcorn.
Both beef and chicken versions are divine! Esp with a glass of raspberry lemonade.

I find the idea of putting breading on a steak kind of weird and unsettling. That and I don't like fried chicken exactly because of that coating. I kind of like meat... unadorned? The only exception I make is for sausage rolls, lol. Mind you I don't really like meat fried anyway. Not deep fried. Seared in a pan, sure, but there's something about deep fried stuff that doesn't sit well after you've eaten it.
Yeah it definitely ain't Bisto. It could be its own food group. Gravy is a bit of a misnomer in this case.
