Post by: Northern Star Girl on November 13, 2025, 12:45:55 PM
Dear valued Members:
On behalf of all of the Susan's Place staff, I wish to extend my sincere and heartfelt THANK YOU to all that
responded to our site's recent Donation Drive.  The outpouring of your support displays the shared vision for what
Susan's Place can effectively accomplish with the participation of our members.

We are most grateful for your donation of whatever you can afford to give. This organization is funded by
private donations and without them we obviously can not provide the support and information that our members benefit from.

One-time Donations, Reoccurring Donations, and Subscriptions are the lifeblood of keeping the Susan's Place site up and running.  We rely on your support.

When the staff looks at received Recurring Support and Subscriptions, all of which matters as it sustains our mission by permitting us to plan for a base monthly income that is focused on monthly and reoccurring expenses that pays our bills for site equipment, maintenance, and upgrades, but also internet interface, electricity, and rental space.

We are grateful for the donation of whatever amount that you can afford to give, it is entirely up to you.  You have the control of your finances and financial obligations, only give what you can and what is on your heart.

The Susan's Place organization is only funded by private donations and we rely on member support.

Look at the Links below to explore your options regarding financial contribution options for Susan's Place.

Shortly after my diagnosis of Gender Dysphoria, I had so many questions. I searched the internet for answers, and I found Susan's Place. What I found here was so much more than data. I found information in the real-life experiences of people who were going through the same things I was. I had no support system near me. Here, I found a warm and welcoming community of people who cared about my well-being and welcomed me with open arms.

I think that many of you have had the same experience.

Because of all of the members here who have helped me, I try to log in every day and help other members. That's what this place is all about.

But I soon realized that even though advice and support are vital to us, it does not pay the bills. It costs money to run a website, keep it maintained, supply it with electricity, and provide a safe location for all of the equipment.

I realized that without money, this site will no longer exist. I immediately set up a monthly subscription, and I make one-time donations from time to time when I can.

Notice all of the information this site contains. Thousands of people come here from all over the world every day looking for answers. Notice, too, that there are no ads. Susan could very easily set up banner ads on every page, but then this site would not be the safe space that it is. Ads require tracking and analytics that could be risky. She needs our help in keeping it going without advertising. That has been the policy for 30 years and counting.

If you have received helpful advice here, or if you found answers to questions you have had, or if you found a welcoming community that celebrated your triumphs and lent a sympathetic ear when you were down, or maybe you made some new friends here...

What is that worth to you?

A Bronze-level subscription is just $5 per month.
A Gold-level subscription is just $20 per month.

If your budget just won't allow a monthly subscription, we understand. One-time donations, or recurring donations, are also helpful. They allow you to specify how much to give and how often. Every little bit helps to keep this place going for one more month.

If you can't donate or subscribe online, and would like to mail it instead, send it to:

             709 Perkins Ave

Be sure to include your Forum Username and your email address, so you get credited for your support.

And, as a bonus, donors and subscribers get really cool badges on their profiles!
Don't miss out. Get yours today!

If you are already a Donor or Subscriber, THANK YOU! Your support means everything to us.

When my egg cracked, I didn't know what to do. I was feeling so many emotions. This website has been so important to my journey.

This has been an invaluable resource for me as I navigate my new reality.  I would be so lost without Susan and everyone in this community. It has been a life line for me.

I want to thank everyone who has contributed to this site. While funding is obviously important, so are those who contribute their time, those who contribute their knowledge and experience, and those who ask questions in their search for answers. You aren't just helping members of this site, but you are also helping hundreds or thousands of people who are seeking answers to questions they are afraid to ask. Susan's Place was the light which pierced the darkness of anger and rage that had imprisoned my soul for decades. It probably saved my life. The questions you ask may hold the answer which releases another imprisoned soul from the darkness, and it may even save someone's life.

A one-time donation, a subscription, a thoughtful question, or are heartfelt response, these are all valid ways of supporting this site. My thanks to all of you.

Love always -- Jessica Rose

I really want to subscribe but I'm never using Paypal again after a fraud attack.

Is there any alternative?

xx

Hi, Tills.

Susan is working on the platforms in the background to integrate other services as an alternative to PayPal. In the meantime, direct mail is an option. (see my post above).

Thank you.

Sending a money order or a check directly to Susan via the USMail, FedEx, UPS, etc are good alternatives
but are not necessarily an economical option outside of the USA and Canada,
however those options may be justifiable for large donations.

The advantage of PayPal
is that you can use your credit card from just about
anywhere, including out of the USA.

JUST SO YOU KNOW....

In my own experience regarding PayPal, I have NEVER EVER had any security issues with them.
They are quick and easy, and efficient with their transactions and have a good reputation for correcting
errors and or fraudulent transactions.

Obviously, fraud is not just a PayPal problem. Dealing with internet communication and financial transactions
require common sense decisions about how to handle Spammers and Phishing regarding your PayPal activities.

Signing up with a PayPal account instead of using it as a "guest" provides an extra layer of security.

          https://www.paypal.com/us/security/learn-about-scams

EXCERPTS BELOW: click the PayPal LINK above for more details

PayPal users are primarily targeted by phishing attacks and various scams that use social engineering
to gain access to account credentials or trick users into sending money. These "attacks" leverage user
trust rather than hacking PayPal's systems directly.

Common PayPal Scams and How to Spot Them

    Phishing Emails/Messages:
Scammers send fake emails or texts that look official to trick you into clicking malicious links or calling fake support numbers. Real PayPal emails will always address you by your first and last name (or business name), not "Dear User".
Invoice & Money Request Scams: You may receive an unexpected invoice or money request through PayPal with an urgent note to call a number. The email itself may come from a legitimate-looking email address, but the embedded phone number or instructions lead to a scammer.
Overpayment Scams: If you're selling an item, a buyer may "accidentally" overpay and ask for a refund of the difference. The original payment is usually fake or made with stolen credentials and will be reversed later, causing you to lose both the item and the refunded money.
Tech Support Scams: Scammers impersonate tech support from a reputable company and claim your computer has a virus. They try to access your computer remotely and request payment for unnecessary services.
False Promises & Job Scams: Be wary of promises of free gifts, lottery winnings, or lucrative job opportunities that require you to provide personal information or send money upfront.
