Greetings,
Can someone kindly explain to me the term - Detransitioning?
I am not familiar with this term and have not been involved within the LGBTQI+ community for many years.
When I transitioned (late 80's), this term was non existent or I was completely oblivious to it.
I have a vague idea but would like to be educated from those in the know so I have a clear and concise understanding.
It is good to be educated and offer support where possible.
Warm Regards
Victoria.

Detransitioning is for someone who is undergoing or has completed transition, and has decided to transition a second time back to their original sex. So MtFtM, or FtMtF. I've seen it used both for stopping transition and for reversing it.

This is a great resource for various terminology. It not only lists the basic definitions, but also has links to other sources as well.
