Do you like boating?
Either being the skipper or the crew, or a passenger.
And on a row boat, a power boat, a sailboat, a kayak, a canoe, a pontoon, a houseboat, or whatever!

When I was a teenager our family had a motorboat first and then moved to a sailing boat. I used to live in an area of the UK called the Norfolk Broads which is basically a haven for boating.
I must say working the sailing boat along a river is hard work but fun. I also remember hitting the bank once and all going flying!
In the motorboat my dad once took it out into the estuary at Great Yarmouth which was scary it being a river boat and now hitting the point where the river current meets the waves. I was still crazy enough to sit right at the front where it lifted and crashed down. Stuff was flying everywhere.
Not done any recently though I should take my bf on a boat in Norfolk one day. It's a very beatiful area.

I sold my 21 ft power boat a couple of years ago. It provided me with 21 years and over 3000 hours of adventure, mainly scuba diving and whale watching in southern Australia. Transition caused me to have breast pain at depth, and my declining health also meant declining use of my boat, so I let it go to someone who will keep the adventures going. I cried as it was being towed away.
Hugs,
Allie

My flatmate had a kayak. We paddled the length of the canal between Preston and Lancaster over a couple of years. It was great for birdwatching, saw my first Kingfisher and Water Rail on the canal

Boat life was a huge part of my life. I've owned more boats than cars or houses. I've been a boat carpenter, I've even rebuilt a 55 foot fishing trawler that I lived on for a good part of my life, trawler is for sale as I'm creating a land based life with a small farm now. Boat life was a lifestyle that I wouldn't trade for anything!
