If you could do over 2025, knowing what you know now, what would you do differently?

Nothing really. The bad things I couldn't really escape. I tend to just accept and roll with how things went, good or bad.

I would have dug up more gold!
I knew the price per ounce would climb once Trump got elected. My mining location has been producing gold for hundreds of years, and only three people know its exact location. The old prospector who showed it to me either succumbed to COVID or moved to Florida. My mining buddy and I swore an oath that neither of us would reveal its location to anyone.
In hindsight, we should have risked it and hired a crew to help us grab all we could. We would have to be careful not to overstep the regulations and become a "commercial mining operation" that requires permits and government paperwork. But there is more gold there than a two-woman operation could physically dig up.
I needed money to move to Colorado, so I sold what gold I had stashed.
The price of gold on January 2, 2025, was $2,664 per ounce. Since then, it has broken historical records numerous times throughout the year. It now stands at $4,533 per ounce.
That could have paid for my move and helped my mining partner's financial situation considerably.
But things have their own way of working out, and the location is still a secret. We can always go back and dig up more. I am just not sure that my back will allow it.

I started investing in precious metals at the end of the summer. Turned out to be a pretty wise decision with the price of gold and silver going higher.

Sounds wise and/or lucky. Good for you.
