Title: Shoes Shoes Shoes!

I live in the uk and am cursed with size 10 feet (I used to be between an 11 and a 12 though so it ain't all bad) and pretty much every shoe shop only sells shoes up to a maximum of 9.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who has these problems. but wondering if anyone knows any good retailers?
For what it's worth, I love heels, I'm not too tall at 5'7"and think I can get away with them, but any shoes I can find are only kitten heel or the drag style 5-6" heels. I would love to be able to find semi comfortable, but gorgeous, strappy sandles (or any shoe really) in a 3-4" heel.
Any suggestions? Or am I doomed to try and force my tootsies into 9's and put on a fake smile!

I remember shopping at Payless to buy snacks. The snacks were at the very front of the store along with a huge selection of shoes. It wasn't until I visited forums like this that I found out why the shoes where located in such prime real estate. The Junior's section of Kohl's is the same. Located in the front of the store, on the left.

I buy mine online.
I go for a 10 Wide. They seem to fit better than a 10, and look better (not as long and narrow). Some brands will be a little tight, so I put them on a shoe stretcher to help get them broken in. Thinner socks help too.
The downside is you can't try before you buy. Once, a pair of sneakers arrived too small despite the size marked. My friend's sister had just bought the same brand, and hers were too big. We swapped, and it worked out. One pair of boots I bought turned out to have a felt sole. So they are more like slippers than boots.
Those are the only times I have ever been burned on online show sales.

But the only place I've found is Amazon and even they are seriously lacking in quality and good / gorgeous options. I'm guessing the US is better catered for. ☹️☹️

I might be more inclined to go out if I could get some decent damn footwear!

Since you live in the UK, have you looked at Long Tall Sally (https://www.longtallsally.com/shoes/c)? They used to have a number of stores in the UK, but these days I believe they went 100% online. They do carry quite a good selection of shoes in very large sizes and also in wider widths.
Payless was a US shoe retailer that went bankrupt about 7 years ago. I think someone bought the rights to the brand and they reopened as an online store.

Comfort Plus Women's Janine Pointy Toe Pump by Payless goes up to 11W and 13 on Amazon.
When I went to thrift stores I would shop for size, not fashion. I wanted to see which brands offered a good fit.
Then I'd go home and look up those brands to see where I could buy them.

This is literally the only bodily feature I have in my favour with regards transitioning...I'm size 8 and fit a women's 8. I hope you find some nice shoes and boots though.
Try:

Also mostly alternative style but a couple of more normal bits:

I'll very happily wear a pair of Hello Kitty platform's so love YRU!

I've got regular size feet. Men's u.s. size 9. Some shoes I can wear an 8, some a 10.
In womens shoes, I had the women's specific converse that I got in my size. I can wear an 11 and most things and I can usually find an 11 in store.
Everything else I've ordered online. When I worked retail and had my office if I was operations/HR and over CFH (Children's, footware and home). So I'd walk shoes if I saw something cute I'd grab them. No one thought twice about me carrying women's shoes to the back. I'd lock the office door and try them on. Then I'd stick them in customer service with a hold slip like I grabbed them for someone else.
Over the last year or two TEMU has been my friend. I've got quite a collection of surprisingly nice looking and decent quality heels. In a womens boot I can wear a 10 if they zip on the side. People assume I'm buying for a wife or girlfriend. I just bought an expensivish pair of boots from dark cottage.
My actual wife has small narrow feet so those are one thing of hers I've never been able to wear.

Thanks for all the advice girls.
Yes, Long Tall Sally do sell my size but they tend to be low to no heel unfortunately.
I will take a luck at Pavers though, that's a good shout!
Some interesting suggestions there Charlotte. I'll take a gander.
Sketchers do good sizes and even the mens can look feminine with the right outfit and colour. But they ain't killer heels!
