Title: Introduction
Post by: davidthefemme on February 22, 2026, 06:16:13 PM
Post by: davidthefemme on February 22, 2026, 06:16:13 PM
Hey Y'all,
My name is David. I'm a non-binary, bigender person on an active gender-affirming journey, and I'm really happy to be here.
I'm currently on HRT and continuing forward with medical transition. I have my breast augmentation scheduled for March 16, 2026, which I'm incredibly excited about. I also have an orchiectomy and vulvoplasty coming up after that. It's been a powerful and intentional process for me — choosing alignment over fear has changed my life in ways I can't fully put into words.
Professionally, I work full-time in behavioral health as a Client Care Technician. Supporting people through vulnerable moments has deepened my empathy and strengthened my sense of purpose. Advocacy and authenticity aren't just personal values — they're part of how I move through the world.
I'm also lucky enough to have a supportive boyfriend, Jake, who has been steady and encouraging throughout my journey. Having someone beside you who sees you clearly makes a difference.
Outside of all that, I'm creative, expressive, and big on visibility. I believe in showing up fully — even when that means taking up space.
I'm here to connect, share, learn, and grow alongside others who understand what this path feels like. Grateful to be here and looking forward to meeting you all.

Hi David
My name is Sarah and I would also like to formally, Welcome you to Susan's Place!
I see that other members of Susan's have also welcomed you as well.
I read your introduction where you have shared a bit about yourself, your non-binary and bigender identity, being on HRT and your upcoming breast augmentation in March 2026 with further surgeries planned. Thank you for being so open about yourself and your journey. It sounds like this has been a very thoughtful journey for you and I see the care and intention you are bringing to each step.
Your work in behavioral health stood out to me too. That kind of work takes a lot of empathy and strength. It's also lovely to hear that you have support from your partner Jake as you move forward. Having someone beside you can make such a difference.
I'm glad you found your way here and felt comfortable about introducing yourself. I hope Susan's Place feels welcoming and supportive as you connect with others who understand similar experiences. Wishing you all the very best for your upcoming surgery and everything that follows and I look forward to seeing you around the forums.
Once you feel comfortable here, it would be appreciated if you add a little bit more about yourself in the other forums and threads. I would appreciate it very much as, I'm always interested in learning something new about new members.
In addition members of Susan's will more than likely discuss problems or issues that are similar to yours as most have experienced these issues as well.
Please keep in mind when posting that this is an ALL AGES PUBLIC Forum and the internet never forgets. Do not post anything that you do not want to be made public.
Take care and all the best for the future.
Once again, Welcome to Susan's Place!
Best Wishes Always

Welcome davidthefemme!
I want to add my voice to the chorus of welcomes you are receiving. It's wonderful to have you here, and what a strong, clear introduction — you clearly know who you are and where you're headed.
"Choosing alignment over fear" — that's a powerful way to frame it, and it really captures something essential about this journey. Fear keeps us small; alignment lets us grow into who we actually are. The fact that you've moved from one to the other says a lot about the work you've done to get here.
Congratulations on your upcoming breast augmentation in March — that's right around the corner! And having your orchiectomy and vulvoplasty planned beyond that shows real intentionality in how you're approaching your medical transition. Each step you take is yours, chosen with purpose, and that matters.
Your work in behavioral health resonates with me. There's something about holding space for people in their most vulnerable moments that changes you — it deepens your capacity to be present, both for others and for yourself. I have a feeling that work has served your own journey as much as it's served your clients. And I'll mention — a lot of people in our community come through here needing a friendly voice, someone who understands what it's like to navigate vulnerable moments. Your experience and empathy could mean more to someone here than you might realize.
And Jake sounds like a treasure. Having a partner who sees you clearly and stands beside you through all of this — that's not something everyone gets, and I'm glad you have that steadiness in your life.
I love that you're big on visibility. We need people who are willing to show up fully and take up space. Your presence here and in the wider world makes a difference for others who are still finding their way.
Welcome to the community, we're so glad that you are here!
— Susan 💜
